THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

However, Hill-Wood, who was Arsenal chairman for 31 years, has blasted those fans.

"Thoroughly ignorant people seem to have a say nowadays.
They do indeed Peter, they say things like "Thank for you interest in OUR affairs"....

he is not even one tenth of the man his father or grandfather was.

who cares what that gin raddled old fart thinks anyway.

Arsenal’s former chairman Peter Hill-Wood has criticised fans who have called for Arsene Wenger to be sacked, labelling them “ignorant”.

Travelling fans, who made the venture to the Hawthorns at the weekend to see Arsenal beat West Brom 1-0, displayed a banner demanding that Wenger quit the club.

However, Hill-Wood, who was Arsenal chairman for 31 years, has blasted those fans.

"Thoroughly ignorant people seem to have a say nowadays.

"It is a few hotheads jumping up and down thinking they are being clever.

"It is the most ridiculous way to behave really because normal people are forever saying boards act too hastily when they get rid of a manager.

"Here we have a really good one with the team sixth in the league and into the last 16 of the Champions League for the 15th consecutive season.

"Arsene would be entitled to ask them, 'what the hell do you want?'

"Frankly, I don't think the club will be paying any attention to them at all.

"I don't take too much notice of it and it isn't going to influence the board, I am sure of that."
That told you, you ungrateful ignorant fuckers!

It's quotes like that, that make me want to abandon everything Arsenal (in terms of paying money) and go watch my local team 5 minutes down the road for a fiver until the board/Wenger are gone.

It will be a long time but I just don't think I give a shit enough these days when a board member of the club I used to love and spend every walking moment fretting about comes out with a load of fucking gash like that.

who the hell asked for PHW's opinion anyway ? - how is he even relevant ? he was forced out for being 'out of touch ' with the fans, this smacks of pravda propagandering to get pro-wonga opinions in the sports pages - and notice the timing - before swansea and newcastle play, when possibly we could be 8th tomorrow morning...

Sorry wonga, you got the stadium and training ground you wanted, and you've had the money after whining about it for years, now put up or fuck off out of it.

utter pravda blah :cussing:

Although he hasn't been as damaging to the club as Wenger in the last 8 years or as Kroenke I have more contempt for Peter Hill-Wood than anyone else in football. Even Platini, Blatter and those corrupt buffoons. Even more than Pulis and other hatchet-merchants.

this is the man who said ' we don't need Kroenke's sort at our club" then took 5.5million quid from him as fast as he could.

he's a dinosaur like wonga, with the same dishonest 'prinicples'...

Peter Hill-Wood - a festering wound on the burst hedgehog of football. An old, arrogant, ignorant twat with a Prince Philip-like ability to offend people.

Fuck you, you ignorant old cúnt - this is OUR club, always was, always will be. OURS. Not yours. Ours, the supporters that have travelled the country and the continent for decades, spent our hard earned money, and been loyal through thick and thin, week after week, game after game, year after year. All you "contributed" was the grubby, hypocritical, money-grabbing exercise of selling out your birth right for filthy lucre. So thank you for taking an interest in our affairs now please do fuck off and die.

To be fair, I always thought that the Football league Championship trophy is nicer than the ostentatious EPL one.

Oh......., he means the Premiership doesn't he....... :barscarf:

And even on that he would need to play semi pro level

People rightly take the piss about the dutch forehead managing manure about his constantly changing timetable of how long it will take him to get that shithole club back on track, but our french w.nker is no different - in the past he has made the "if I dont win the league in 2 years I will walk away" bullshit statement but of course he hasnt stuck by those words. These statements are just empty meaningless words from him and are designed to stretch out the timeframe and expectations for him - in other words give me to the end of my contract without and pressure cos I didnt say that I would win it before then  Does he honestly think that we should indulge his fcuking shit for another 2 years ? I dont want you to last another day in our club so just fcuk off back to france you gutless senile money grabbing c.unt
