We are creating something special inside the club
Looks like the *word censored* in charge have made preserving the cult of personality of the chief *word censored* the main priority once again. Truly sad state of affairs.Dan_85 wrote:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/footba ... years.htmlAny banners calling for the departure of Wenger at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday will be confiscated

Exactly, their justification is "anything which may be provocative". Well what about if I find "In Arsene we Trust" provocative? Is that also going to be confiscated? Of course not. The A4 pieces of paper seem to be the only way to go as they can't really check for them and if you have dozens of them then they aren't going to notice every time straight away.augie wrote:SydneyGooner wrote:Looks like the *word censored* in charge have made preserving the cult of personality of the chief *word censored* the main priority once again. Gestapo b.stards - on what grounds will they confiscate them ? If they have a clear fire safety certificate and are not offensive (as the "thanks for the memories" clearly wasnt) then on what grounds can they confiscate them ? I would imagine that they would face a media backlash if it was highlighted that the club allow pro wenker banners but object to everything else - can our protest group make a big fuss of this in the media ?
The ticket/stadium entry Ts & Cs only state that you cannot be in "the possession of a banner or flag that bears material or slogans that are offensive, obscene, abusive or racist" - i've not seen any anti-Wenger banners that fall into that category.Skooner wrote:Exactly, their justification is "anything which may be provocative". I also laughed at seeing a comment at the weekend that those showing the banner on Saturday were "crass". The banner really couldn't be more respectful and was only shown after the game so as to not detract from the support of the team during the game. It's just unbelievable that some people just don't think any sort of dissent should be allowed.
