THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

you guys are way off, i've been thinking about it and the problem is obviously the stadium - its sold out every week, and we have 40,000 on the ST waiting list, its clearly not big enough to bring us success.

thats why we can't compete - if those 40,000 fans could see us every week, we could drop ticket prices to 50 quid (which always happens when you build a new bigger stadium by borrowing money rather than investing your own in the club...) and with 25 or so home games thats an extra 50 million a year plus whatever they spend on matchday magazines, food and drink, and in the armoury. if each fan only spends 20 quid a game thats another 20 mill , so we are missing out on 70 million a year.

so i think we need to leave the Emirates and build a 100,000 seater stadium so we can compete with Southampton, Swansea and West Ham.

Anyone up for starting a Petition ?

It's all about his contract, he knew that had we failed to beat the might of Wigan & Hull City he would have found it uncomfortable to sign a new deal.
The latest 'we will win the title by 2017' translates to 'judge me at the end of my contract'.
He will say anything to protect his sweet £8m a season salary.
He really is a greedy twat, isn't he? He'll make at least £25 million at the end of his current contract. Like he hasn't milked enough money over the last 5 years. :banghead:

But the Wenger arse lickers would predictably retort with the bigger salary he was likely to get for the 6 months or so he would've lasted at PSG, Real Madrid.

Sooooo considering our chief fuckwit claims that "we have challenged" for the title in the last 8/9 years, if anybody can tell me when the last time Arsenal finished in the top 2 was, I'd love to hear it...

the thing is this sort of quote from Wenger will have the goldfish brained AKBs nodding their heads in approval.
they won't stop to question whether we finished in the top 2 or not.

these days you dont actually have to achieve anything in football - you just have to give the impression that you have achieved something. thats why the top 4 trophy con has worked for so long

If this quote is anything to go by:
“You also cannot say the six-point gap is not catchable.

I think by title he could be mentioning the 6 point gap between us and the 4th placed title that ManUre are currently ahead of us in.

As we're not allowed nasty banners in the ground maybe we should have A4 printouts with "hired"on one side and "fired" on the other...like in the apprentice. On the 18th min everyone holds which side they want up...we can then have a massive punch up to sort it all out once and for all :box:

Wenger in 2009 -

"I know that we haven't won a trophy for four years, but we have been very close and I believe that this year the team will do it. When I say that, it is not to please you, it is because I am really convinced of it. This season we are ready to go for it in the Premier League, the Champions League and of course both the cups as well."

Still spouting the same sh1te nearly 6 years on
