If I'm going senile, then I'd live to hear your "reasoning" for claiming you'd rather see Ben White in midfield ahead of a proven International and plge midfielder!
Augie you are more twisted and bitter than a corkscrew![]()
Sid would you not agree that our game is based on intensity, pace and energy ? Jorginho has NONE of those traits these days. All very well Stuart putting a clip from two years ago, but the reality is that we have bought the 31 year old jorginho and not the 29 year old version. As Steve O says, he's not good enough for midtable shite but good enough for a title challenger - how the fcuk does that add up ?
Obviously the younger version would have been preferable, however! This is the January window, bad luck with a few injuries has forced us into some unplanned signings.
Whilst Jorginho's game might not fit exactly our current style, but as the season goes on if we're still top and games get tighter, with teams in trouble shutting up shop, teams in contention taking a more cagey approach and add to that, our young squad maybe feeling the pressure and legs becoming tired.
That's when an experienced player like Jorginho could prove very important.
No one is saying he will lead us to the title, as for him being part of a midtable chav team? That's not down to him, as for their willingness to let him go?
The chavs are throwing money about like it grows on trees, they need to offset some of that spending with their dealings already the subject of uefa rule reforms.
Augie! We are in unfathomable position in the league, Jorginho's signing won't win or cost us the title, just like no single player will, but it might play a small part on us being crowned champions, which the next 3 games will probably decide.
