THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Are you fcuking serious ??  I know that le cock is a stubborn prick but I didnt think that he would be that confrontational to give a new contract to a player that 99.9999% of Gooners want rid of (steve o is of course the exception)

A new contract for Diaby? Sounds like a pretty dumb use of money for someone with an economics degree.

Honestly, I don't actually believe he will be given a new contract. Wenger puts these ludicrous statements out there as a weird, twisted way of trying to assert power over fans, journalists etc and prove that he won't be swayed by our opinions. "You're all telling me we should sell Diaby? Well, i'm the fucking boss here and i'll make the decision. If I wanna give him a new contract, I will." You know that Wenger always wants to do the complete opposite of what everyone tells him to do, he's a dictator that thrives on power. Everyone tells him to buy a DM & CB, so what does he do? Of course he *doesn't* buy a DM or CB. He's prepared to put his own status & ego before the wellbeing of the team.

At the same time he words these statements very cleverly - "he'll get a new contract *if* he's fully fit". Surely even Wenger can see that he's never gonna be fit enough to be of good value to the club when he's playing a maximum of 90 combined minutes a season. Deep down I think Wenger knows he'll never have the fitness to play a full season - he just doesn't have the spine to come out & say things as they are (ie we'll look at his contract situation and weigh up the pros & cons) and also issues these statements as a way to assert his authority.

But then, if i'm wrong and he really does give him a new contract, thenn it truly will be one of the dumbest fucking moves and the biggest wastes of money ever.

It is things / decisions like this - That remind me that Wenger really has lost the Plot - I mean besides all his absurd ramblings and semi-stupid comments.

He is a Clueless FuckWit.

anyone who's been to Bombay and Goa knows they have nice hotels, but they also have shite infrastructure, dodgy security and rampant disease - the UK gov recommends Malaria, Hepatitis A, and Rabies shots before going.....

That makes sense, but I wouldn't be surprised if he actually offered a new contact to his secret son Abu. He is spouting so mentally ill statements that it is unbelievable, so nothing surprises me anymore.

If this happens it will be the dumbest move Wenger has made in 18 years. He must know this will make the fans even more anti-wenger
