THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Agree with Dan's previous comments - Wenger is hell-bent on sticking up two fingers to all of his detractors and showing that he won't be swayed by anybody else. I don't honestly think he would give Diaby a new deal (unless he came back by New Year and stayed fit the entire season, which he never will).

Basically he's just being a prick because he can.

Win today and the Utd game will be a dim and distant memory for most.

If Diaby suddenly had a full season where he played every game and didn't get injured, then you can look at giving him a new contract, this will never happen and he will never play more than 3 games in a row for Arsenal. Surely to god someone at Arsenal Football Club, with an ounce of common sense, let alone a business brain, will say......'he is a waste of money and will not get a new contract'?

Arsene Wonga is milking Arsenal Football Club dry, of everything, money, quality, appeal, atmosphere and any 'feel good' emotions from pretty much any supporter (barring the sheep). What a fucking state to get in, we are a rudderless ship heading for the rocks at high speed.
Look on the bright side. Once Le Tool fucks off out of our club he can find a new money-making scam as a two-Bob whore.
He's got a particular ability to suck the life out of anything in his radius. Red Action will be eagerly forming a queue to be his first paying customers.

It is not a case of Gazidis getting tougher, it is some of the board members stepping in to tell Wenger to make big money signings, and before that the supermarket sweep transfer window of summer 2011.

Wenger still runs the team and appears to keep Bould's input to less than what it might be, but Wenger's power is less than it was.

Fantastic spirit to come back today against the financially doped Orcs.
Superb management to destroy Bellerin by making him the fall guy and subbing him off at HT, ruining a young player the same way he's currently destroying promising Calum Chambers.
ANOTHER defeat at Stoke, a ground he's only managed to win at once in five years!
Goal conceded after just 22 seconds, a new record for Wenker to bathe in as the fastest PL goal we've conceded in over 10 years.
For a second I though there was hope as I remembered one shower of shit team throwing away a 3-0 home lead against a rubbish side a few weeks ago...then I realised there's only one manager capable of such glorious incompetence.
Over £70m spent this summer, and can't keep up with Pardew or Fat Sam. But remember, "we are not out of it yet".
Worst points tally at this stage EVER under Wenker.
Worst defensive record we've ever had after the first 15 games of a season.
Worst ever points tally at this stage of the season.
£8m a year and still this dickhead fumes when the fans call him out

Still. Keep paying up your STs, keep paying your monies, and "thank you for taking an interest in our affairs"!

Sir Chips made it perfectly clear where we all stand Quartz...

"If Wenger has a plan, we back him, if he doesn't have a plan, we keep quiet.

"So don't let's be in a muddle about who calls the shots about football at the Arsenal Football Club. It is not the chairman, it is not the fans, it is Mr Arsene Wenger."

We can choose not to believe it, but at the end of the day, Wenger has been getting away with mediocrity for years and they still offered him a bumper new contract.

We've been run into the ground and our board has done fuck all to stop it.

Kroenke owns the club.
The board are no longer shareholders.

Some of the board have tried to effect change but the buck stops with Kroenke.
