Iron Man 2

Image

8/10

by far and away the best films of the avengers' individual franchises
. going through them all individually again in preparation for Iron Man 3 in april.

Really??!!

Thought the first Iron Man was good - funny, original, great set pieces and sharp dialogue. But the second one was just unmitigated pure lazy film making shite. Clichéd beyond belief, boring, relentlessly unfunny and obvious. Just a really really shit movie and a very obvious and cynical cash-in on the success of the first. Even Robert Downey Jr irritated the shit out of me – his performance was strictly by the numbers, smug, and annoying. One of the worst fucking movies I’ve ever struggled to sit through. Terrible clichéd dialogue. Rubbish action scenes. Appallingly shit movie. So fucking bad I wanted to take my rifle, fly to Hollywood, and shoot the director, the producers, Robert Downey Jr, Mickey Rourke, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston* in the fucking head execution style! :x

*I know Jennifer Aniston wasn’t in the fucking thing, but hey – while I'm there anyway, huh? 8)

The missus will love it. An Inspiring, sad, uplifting rom-com all at the same time. Bradley Cooper plays a great role as a man who is suffering mental health problems after finding his wife in the shower with another man. Oops! His father, Robert De Niro, actually plays a great part as his father. There's a shock - De Niro in a good film.

It is a bit long (just over two hours) and is a bit girly, I suppose. But as a bit of a poofhouse, I quite enjoyed it.

9/10

Iron Man 3

pretty good, a few twists and turns with funny dialogue but a real point. real test of Tony Stark's character, although probably not as many fight scenes as I'd like. and Ben Kingsley is f***ing hillarous, you'll have to watch to find out why
