THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Which is why when Man City come in and pay £22m, it'll be Sammy 0 SteveO 2 !
The deal is done...no amount of money will change this.
He's not legally allowed to sign until Jan 1st so it can only be a verbal agreement and every £m counts for Palace, so lets wait and see

How can..... "the deal be done" if he cant..... "legally sign until Jan 1st"
Is there some kind of pre-contract?

There can't be anything agreed between clubs before 1st Jan - no pre-signings etc. So at best its a 'gentlemens agreement' and with Palace needing every penny and City flexing their muscles expect to see this one disappear faster than you can say Goetze

:D

I know Sammys other thread about Goetze and how it was just a load of shite.

But he's said that Zaha is "a done deal", then when Steve0 points out that legally "nothing can be signed until Jan 1st", he agrees. :|

So within like two posts hes claimed "its a done deal" then contradicted himself by agreeing its not! :?
Just wondered if there was a secret pre-contract in a drawer somewhere..... :rubchin:

ODL making a change to the trusted 4-3-3

Still no need to panic- its only putting an extra centre back in the team and we'll still be playing our usual 1 up front.

Saw that. Yet again he takes the moral high ground on football being all about money while trousering 7 million quid a year himself!! How does he manage to keep a straight face?
