littlefire, apt as that may be for Wenger's refusal to accept his increasing senility as a manager, please don't ruin any more perfectly good poems. He's just not worth it.

Under no circumstances should he (Wenker) be allowed to funnel off one more centime to the French league on some more tripe, and anyway the only players left that are any good are Mamadou Sakho & Younes Belhanda.markyp wrote:we are fucking doomed, cant wait till Chavski seeing Ba annhilate us,i dont know whats worse, buying nobody at all or letting Wenker spend our millions, its like letting a smackhead loose in a chemist
If he is so obsessed with the Barca model why the hell does he persist in second rate French cloggers?
The glory days of Clairefontaine are over. I'd rather take the tough medicne now than allow him to piss away more milions.

Re: The 'McDowell Balague Bullshit Transfer Rumours' Thread
The man we could have signed for less than half what we paid for Le Chapman. But as Wenger says the club are trying really hard but there just isn't the quality out there at the moment available for the right price. Funny how the right price for proven PL (or other top league experience) is clearly less than £7m in his book, whilst shelling out €14m for a fucking useless 27 year old journeyman who was playing the Ligue 3 on loan not so long ago is definitely 'the right price'markyp wrote:we are fucking doomed, cant wait till Chavski seeing Ba annhilate us,i dont know whats worse, buying nobody at all or letting Wenker spend our millions, its like letting a smackhead loose in a chemist
The guy isn't even fucking consistent with the line he takes on signings anymore. GG was an irritating fucker in his last 2 years refusing to spend £4m on players like Roy Keane whilst happily snapping up journeymen like Pates and never will be's like Jensen, Lydersen and Helder.......but at least he didn't pay way over the odds for them. The money that Wenger has spent on Gervinho, Le Chapman and the BUG is nothing short of fucking scandalous. None of them are suited to the PL and any scout or manager worthy of the name would have spotted that a mile off. Those 3 useless fuckers have seen in the region of €35m leave the club....nothing short of outrageous. People love to defend Giroud on the basis that he needs more time.....fine, stick to that argument. What's the case for the defence of the other two? None of these players are 18 year old kids that could develop - they are all at a stage in their careers where they should be somewhere around their peak and they are all absolutely fucking desperate

Broadly speaking you're right, however, I honestly don't think it would make a shit of a differencee if he signed Messi & Ronaldo.
He'd shove messi to left back and play Ronaldo off the bench so they could learn 'positional discipline'. Even middling players, like the ones name-checked in your post, could do a good job if they were fucking organised and coached properly.
It's simply beyond comprehension that a man who has famously worked for over 30 years in football seems completely unable to grasp the basics.

As far as January signings go Zaha could be a good one. We'll see I suppose.

Re: The 'McDowell Balague Bullshit Transfer Rumours' Thread
But how can our manager possibly look at this current squad and think to himself that the area that needs the most attention is in the wide attacking positions, and that the spark we need to get the virtual trophy rests with a lad who has just turned 20 and never kicked a ball in the PL. Jesus - Palace are even trying to insist that he gets loaned back for the season in which case he'll have no impact !kiwomya wrote:As far as January signings go Zaha could be a good one. Honestly, I hope its just bullshit paper talk because I would rather spend no money whatsoever than another £15m or so on raw talent that will take another 3 years or so to come good.
I can understand United wanting him because they have that time available for them to come good as their first team is complete (barring a top quality CM). We need proven PL class to hit the ground running now - not kids, not one season wonders from Ligue 1 - unless we really do want to be a Europa League team at best
Re: The 'McDowell Balague Bullshit Transfer Rumours' Thread
Just heard that on MNC on 5live and apparently M'Villa has agreed to sign as well just finalising between clubs.mcdowell42 wrote:Loic Remy set for QPR medical after snubbing Newcastle

WTf'ing F is going on

Two decent teams, one at the top end of Ligue 1 are losing decent players to a, let's face it s**t team at the bottom of the league.
Is Tony Fernandes just crapping money

Really hope they go down now with twitchy at the helm because if they do with their wage bill, they will do a Portsmouth.
Then I want to see how twitchy's media bum chums can avoid linking him with bankrupting yet another club

Re: The 'McDowell Balague Bullshit Transfer Rumours' Thread
From the start I will admit that I havent seen enough of m'vila to be 100% sure about him but if I am honest then I would want us to buy him now - recent games have shown cazorla up in particular as a guy that needs a ball winner alongside him to do the dirty work for him cos without that he is totally anonymous and useless to the team
We have needed a tough ball winner in the middle of the park since wenger ruthlessly got shot of PV4 and it has been my number 1 wish (apart from getting rid of wenger of course) every transfer window since
Without a doubt the guy would come with some baggage but hopefully he would also come with a point to prove especially to the people back in france who have labelled him as a trouble maker. What I have seen of this guy tells me that he pisses all over the anderlecht guy (bigligia ??) who seems too light and small to be a proper DM and looks a poor man's lucas (yes the guy at victims fc) if I am honest

Looks like the media have given up on us signing anyone.
