Lays into the defence again, cribbed from the Guardian:

“We were not decisive enough in the defensive challenges,” said Wenger. “They [Stoke] started strong, you have to give them credit for that. We were a bit inexperienced at the back. We couldn’t play Koscielny or Monreal and altogether we were a bit soft to cope with what they offered us. Overall we put a lot of energy into this game, like we have always done recently, but unfortunately we missed our start. When we started to respond it was late in the game.”

Telling us we have to give credit to one of the worst footballing sides in the league and laying into 'the defence' in the narrative to try and avoid taking any responsibility. Not at all surprising but fucking infuriating that he gets away with this shit nonetheless. Tired of spineless *word censored* asking him gutless questions all the time, journalists are happy to write negative crap in their columns from a distance but apart from Jacqui Oatley nobody will engage their brain when asking him any questions.

I'm not particularly keen on Steve Bould because despite his playing days and no-nonsense persona he has sat there like a retarded mute for two and a half years and I just don't get this idea that he is immune from criticism or would just lift himself out of Wenger's shadow to shake up not only our team selections, tactics and training methods in the short-term, but also remove this spineless culture that has been bred into the side.

He has spent his entire career working under or for Wenger, I'm inclined to perceive him as part of the problem rather than part of the solution. That said, I would jump at the opportunity for Wenger to be chucked on his arse and Bould installed on an interim basis until the end of the season if there were no great candidates attainable.

I think it's pretty much a certainty that he'll head upstairs unless there is a breakdown of relationships between him and the board.

If he wasn't aware of any ill-feeling towards him before yesterday's game, he sure as hell is now. Let's hope he can do the decent thing, put the club before his ego and walk away, sooner rather than later.
I somehow doubt he will. He could oversee a 0-10 beating and still not countenance such a thought.
Exactly and this is why we're where we are and will continue to be.

Even if we end up getting 8th or 9th in the prem this season - which with our current Manager and Squad is not beyond possibility - Wenker even then would need to be crow barred out of the club.

Eventually he will be gone - for most self thinking Gooners that day cannot come soon enough - regardless of when he goes There is going to be a VERY painful period of transition - FROM the tippy tappy side to side and backwards then more side to side passing - TO organised, free flowing football that employs all the skills of the individual players who get the opportunity to play in their most suited and /or strongest position - with a defence that knows what it is doing and isn't left to lady luck, a defence who are properly protected by a mid-field that can hold and attack - and can mix it with the thug teams like stoke should they need to - also a forward line that compliments the mid-field with pace, skill, flair and courage.

To have Wenker move upstairs would be a disaster - we need the new manager coming in - to stamp his own authority, style and character on the team and the club, to have Wenker move upstairs would simply be a watered down version of what we are presently having to endure - yet another nightmare.

Wenger won't go mid-season - it will be difficult enough to get him out come May, but with enough voices raised in the ground/s - in the media - to the club in all the available ways - Letters/e-mails/phone calls and of course many more banners we might, just might get him out of OUR Club before even more damage is done - before the present anger, apathy and in-fighting becomes something beyond anyone's control.

WE (Gooners) should ALL be pouring our energy and focus into supporting the team and opposing the teams we play - Wenger is divisive and no longer good for the morale of the fans, club and players - He sees his way as being The Only Way - And yet time and time and time (season after season) he fails to win trophies (The FA Cup was a very , VERY Lucky win - had Gibbs not headed the ball of the line we would have lost) - His main remit is to bring profit into the club - we Gooners are now labelled as customers - Not Fans.

The Arsenal we all used to know and love is GONE..and even when he is gone - it is NOT coming back - But at least we will no longe rhave to endure the embarrassment of his rude, unprofessional, classless behaviour - Jacqui Oatley had him on the ropes and rather than answer her questions Honestly - he got angry, rude and proceeded to lie.

It's no coincidence that she has been removed from covering any Prem Leagur games since...Wenger's PR & Media army went to war on her - The Beeb caved in...and so just as in all the sanitsied interviews and press conferences - no proper questions of note are being put to him.

He is dragging the Arsenal - renowned for being a club that oozes Class - down into the gutter. He is a despot who allows no other voices or opinions to be raised - Even Steve Bould has become a mere dead sounding board who has No Input - he may be trying - But nothing has changed - When Bouldy came in I thought "Great he'll coach, organise and sort the defence" - Sadly the total opposite has happened and I do not think that is because of Bould, but down to one person and one person only Arsene Wenger.

He HAS to go...what other manager in the prem would play Sanogo ahead of Campbell or Podolski? - Not even a manger of those teams in the bottom 6. I took a friend visiting from the states to a game - and was so embarrassed when he said 'who the f*ck is that physically dyslexic Gyraffe?"

Finally think the tide has turned and the majority of fans want him out. A few good results will get some back on his side but I think we're now at the point where even one or two bad results heaps a lot of pressure onto Wenger and many fans finally questioning why finishing 4th is always the limit of our ambitions.

I don't think we can feasibly expect Wenger to go during the season but I definitely hope we are able to get Klopp in at the end of the season and the worse we carry on doing hopefully the fan and media pressure on Wenger keeps building.

Klopp is currently 6th from bottom in the Bundesliga. I wonder if their fans are calling for his head too.

Funny when yet again he is facing the criticism, he passes the responsibility onto the defence - where is that internal unity he was preaching about after the baggies game ? The man is a self serving, lying bast.ard of a cuntbag

Conflicting suggestions there buddy - you are saying that us Gooners should be pouring all our energy at supporting the team, but at the same time you are suggesting that we should be getting wenker out at all costs and I don't see how those ideas can work hand in hand :? For what it is worth I believe that we should focus every ounce of our energy into driving this cancerous leech out of our club and if the team don't feel the love during that time, then I am comfortable with that 8)

One of the key points as to why Wenger is not under pressure. The media were happy to have a go after the United and Swansea defeats, but then lined up to slate those involved with the banner last weekend. They are embarrassing, and happy to go with the populist opinion on Wenger, and that changes for some, week to week.
