THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I'm not convinced Klopp is suitable for us in all honesty i don't think he has the mentality for the PL, although i am at the stage where i'd take that Ex=spud diving bastard Klinsmann if it got rid of Wenger, can't believe i just said that but then i never though i'd hate Wenger this much!

The most telling thing about that video is if you watch closely as he walks out he is actually smirking, not only that but he does absolutely nothing to attempt to appease the fans, he just wanders past like it is normally to receive that level of abuse.

Sitting in the dug out while your team is having it's defensive arsehole ripped apart because you dont want to give the opposition fans the chance to abuse you.............

WTF its like my 8 year old daughter saying she wont go into the playground just in case some other kids says something nasty to her, unlikely though as my daughter has probably got more balls than the whole team, backroom staff and board at the moment.

Fuck. Well that didn't last long did it? Was a clip of Wenger getting abused by fans at the station...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7XKJSd4cpQ&app=desktop

Catch it before it goes...
Wow that is uncomfortable viewing :| i also agree he deserves it but why has it been allowed to get to this? :banghead:

I'm amazed Wenger has even allowed himself to get into this..... He could have managed anywhere in the world (still could) on a similar or even more money than he is on at Arsenal and he puts himself in a situation to be abused :|

He smirks when Arsenal fans have a dig at him but refuses to stand up & front the Orcs fans giving him abuse? :banghead: Any other real manager would be standing their like a proper leader taking the crap whilst inspiring his team from the touchlines. Remember Graham Souness in Turkey with the flag :box:

At least Bould could have claimed OUR technical area, not as if the stewards & cops wouldn't prevent pitch invaders, & if they get through give the feckers a slap!

No wonder our players are pussies when management cower in the dugout!

I genuinely think he believes the stuff he says.

I don't think he can even countenance, in his own mind at least, that he is at fault. He spends all his time looking for others to blame because he actually is deluded enough to think that none of it is his own fault. Maybe it is a case of the fans are not the only ones who look back to previous successes to justify his right to stay on.

In his mind he genuinely believes he is as good as he thinks he used to be.

I find it mind boggling that a man who is supposedly so intelligent can be so wrong about so much

I don't enjoy watching it but he will not accept any shortcomings or wrongdoings, so it's either this or no criticism.

Uncomfortable viewing, but he'll brush it off as a minority.

Painful viewing, but he'll brush it off as a minority.
As long as it is a small group abusing him he always will. Until this sort of thing happens at the bowl and it is picked up wholesale by the media it is easy for him to ignore it.

What can't happen at the bowl is that it becomes really abusive and personal or the banning orders will be out quicker than 'Diaby' picking up his latest injury.

That video...wow. Fully deserved for Wenker and then some.
What's interesting is his reaction to getting abuse at Stoke: he couldn't take it and hid. So, as harsh as it may be, the best thing we can do at this stage is to double up the pressure at Emirates - he's showed he hates nothing more than fierce criticism. Which explains his pathetic desperate plea that "give me until 2017 to win title"
If Arsenal fans make the Emirates a hotbed then he will hide from that too. No question.
I would have said it's sad to see that but then I remember how he treated Jacqui Oatley, his deadline day behaviour, his telling us plebs we hadn't "worked half a day in football" and then the final nail, the Diaby extension.
He deserves every single bit and then some. No sympathy for this fraud. He's not a humanitarian worker on the front line, he's an inept clown stealing £8mil every year. Fuck him.

The Wenger Out campaign will only start to be taken seriously when banners are shown at the Emirates

We are going up against the only team that's beaten Chelsea next Saturday ...would love nothing more than to unfurl a large Wenger Out banner However, we need a win!
The best way is protest after the game - the risk there, of course, is that we win and wenker repeats "...beleeeef, qualiteeeeee, " etc.
It is crucial no result deflects from the objective that hope for the club to become winners again requires constant wenger out pressure ....never give up , keep up the pressure , "save us" from this dictator

Just watched the video of the team getting on the train and I have to I found it painful to see, I know everyone and his horse has an opinion at the moment, but come on reflect what this man has done for this club! You can have supported this club for a 100 years but we've not seen better football under ANY other manager!! I agree his time is up but that's no way to act towards him.

I repeat: he's not saving lives in Syria and he's not curing Ebola. He's a football manager full stop. As he's done nothing but shown contempt for the fans, and as he's made it obvious the club is secondary to his ego and pet projects then he can do one. He deserves every single bit he gets. I'll be going to Citeh away this season and I'll be blasting this Specialist In Failure dickhead with constant abuse. Don't care if he was good at his job 10 years ago, that doesn't explain today.
