Firstly, I loved Alien and Aliens. After that they lost their way a bit and kinda just regurgitated the same premise. I also rate Ridley Scott as possibly the greatest modern director. Love his work. His direction of Black Hawk Down in particular was absolutely phenomenal.

Just saw Prometheus. Very much a case of "meh". :|

Disappointing to be honest. His direction was top notch but again the story was just not great. :(

And the lead bird with her accent that wavered between "ooh yah jolly hockeysticks" upper crust Engerlish, and "Hey, my bru, howzit? Wut iz heppnin?" Soot Orfrican became irritating quite quickly.

Totally agree DB I recently watched a 'making of Blade runner' (I usually don't bother with such things as (for me) they kind of spoil the illusion of it all, But THAT film really was a Work of Life for him...they used to film at night in all kinds of shyte weather etc....

Yes, when I heard he was making 'Prometheus' I was well excited, but having watched it a couple of times now, it still is Meh :( and you're right the bird in the lead role cannot act - and even worse is NOT close to shaggable. Whereas Charlize Theron

thought I'd see the first one before the second..

Star Trek

Image

8/10

a lot better than I thought it would be, decent storyline easy to follow if nothing else. introduced the characters well. good springboard for "into darkness" to follow, and i am by no means a trekkie...

Two words right there on that poster mean I will NEVER see this film;

Jude.

Law.

:banghead:   :cussing: :censored:

Simply the fucking worst most talentless piece of fucking shit excuse for an actor I've ever seen. The bastard must suck cock like a thirsty leech on viagra or something to get his no-talent ass in so many movies. :x

God Bless America - 7/10 :barscarf: - Frank(sav? :o ) and a teenage girl do what we'd all love to do... go on a killing spree, ridding the world of fucking idiots! :D

With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and offs the stupidest, cruelest, and most repellent members of society (sp*rs fans? ) He finds an unusual accomplice: 16-year-old Roxy, who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement. 8)

8.5 out of 10
Great fight sequences, Michael Shannon is superb as General Zod, just a little bit drawn out in parts, I still think that Star Trek is the better film imo.!

Finally got round to watching the Hurt Locker last night. TBH, it was ok, a bit "meh", deffo NOT the all time classic war movie some people were talking it up as. It was good, but not great. :|

I finally got round to watching 'The Deer Hunter' over the weekend. Just off to slash my wrists. How depressing and bleak is that film? Also, not the classic it's made out to be. 3 hours long, could have been a lot shorter. Good, but not a great.
