Tragic story..my eldest son went to the US on a JI Visa in 2013. Loved it and made a few quid for himself.. Sad to think of six families bringing their children home in such a way. RIParmchair wrote:RIP to the students who died in Berkeley, CA and condolences to their families. Tragedy.

Terrible, horrific tragedy. Those poor kids and their poor families. It's every parent's worst nightmare when the kids leave the nest. Chris Squire Bassist with Yes has passed away at the age of 67yrs.
An incredibly sad day for me...Yes - were/are my favourite band of all time saw them 127 times - in my late teens i followed them on the Relayer Tour UK/Europe and Japan....for 53 of the 70 something gigs they gave me a lift between some of the gigs...Heart Broken
Close To The Edge my favourite album.
I was at the gig this photo was taken at...The world premier of Close To The edge at the Crystal Palace Bowl - went awol from school ( and home0 for 3 days and got a right hammering from my father and grounded for 3 months - But was worth it.

Just totally sad. Th end of an era in my life

Cribbed from memory of an interview I read a while back. He knew Tolkien and read LOTR at least a couple of times a year apparently.
