The AKB theory on this would be that United are no longer a rival whilst we are genuine title contenders

My take on it is that the Chavs have a better relationship with United, and in particular the Moaning One with Moyes rather than There's Only One

Either way, United are about to sign a bloke who has proved himself to be one of the best midfielders in the PL over the past couple of years and much as we mock them have taken the first major step to correct a glaring gap in their team. We on the other hand are dreaming that N'tep might sign

There's also the fact that they'll be getting around 40 million for mata as opposed to next to nothing for loaning Ba-imagine that will factor into their decision making process.

Have to say I hope they don't sell though as obviously much rather see him warming the Chelsea bench than improving Uniteds midfield. Hopefully some foreign team will come in for him

I wouldn't put it past There's Only One to try and get rid of Podolski as part of the Draxler deal, making another vital cut on the arm of self harm by eliminating one of his other striking options

If we capitulate in the league, and once we're dumped out of Europe, I think you may be right.

Christ know's why Mata's going to play for Wee Davey if there is other interest as Moyes cannot stand creative midfielders (and couldn't spot a striker if Batistuta turned up at the training ground and said he'd play for free).

I expect Mata to be hived off to left wing and asked to run up and down in straight lines.
