Totally agree. There is absolutely no reason why we can't protest before the game and show our appreciation for Rocky during the game.DB10GOONER wrote:Jesus Christ, these people have no shame. Either way, the two issues are separate. Rocky never played for Wenger. They represent very different incarnations of Arsenal. Rocky is a Legend. Wenger has shat all over his own legacy.

I can see the logic in the one year contract which I've always said is easier to sell than the 2 year contact. Not that I think this turnip should be around for another season but at least the end would be in sight as long as he doesn't turn around an extend again which I fear he will. He's desperate to cling on and willl take this club down with him if need be. He's also using Fergie as a yardstick (retired at 71) and another year could become 2 then 4.northbank123 wrote:I think he will sign a one-year deal and it will be his last year.General wrote:The dinosaur won't last another year let alone 2. I really can't get my head around this 2year contract.
That will give him plenty of time to reward his favourites, get his dirty hands all over our future plans to ensure that we don't bring in a manager who will shit all over what he has done in order to turn things round and will get widespread fan and media opposition to dissent/Protests on the basis that he will be leaving at the end of the year anyway.
Or he'll be here forever and they'll have to carry him out in a coffin.
For me his only route out has to be into international football. Cushy lifestyle jetting around the planet watching football, opportunity to dictate how the national set-up works right down to kids level and no pressure to spend. Plus you rarely come up against a really well-organised side whose only intention is to defend. The idea that he would be courted by another huge club or would want to take a job like PSG is mad.
It's a brewing a fucking mess and we face massive salvage operation when he leaves. The squad for one is going to need major surgery in two years. The botched 2015 summer window has already caught up with us.

We should not for one moment settle for "one more year". If that is what is announced we should continue with the Wenger Out protests. No other club needs that amount of time to appoint a new manager. Most manage to do it in a matter of days or weeks, once they have made and announced the decision. His time is well overdue, we have been too patient for our own good.
Do others feel that we should be satisfied with such an announcement, and waste another 12 months during which we would slip yet further behind? I don't. If he stays beyond May, we fight on: he can be bounced out in shame half way through the season if need be. This May is his final chance to leave with a shred of dignity to his reputation - and I mean a shred.

Absolutely - just cos 2 years is better than one doesn't make it acceptable imo. His time is up (and has been for a long time imo) and I wouldn't let him waste another year of our club's future even if he offered to pay us €8.5m for the privilege of managing us. There is absolutely no circumstance where I would accept or tolerate another year of this French pri*k managing us

Brom press conference.

Notice how he's trying to redefine the terms of success and playing down top 4 finish. The man's arrogance is frightening.

He was squirming when (at 5.25) they asked him to comment on how Leicester had improved remarkably since they changed their manager.....General wrote:Brom press conference.

Man's so arrogant and prickly that it is very hard for me to listen to him anymore. He talks on top of everybody, gives arrogant answers and overall talks mainly shit all the time. But I do like to see him squirm when asked uncomfortable questions.General wrote:Brom press conference.

I never watch...and I mean NEVER, I would throw something at the TV. It is criminal what the man has done to the club...we as protesters are getting pilloried, while he, the master of all this mayhem, sails serenely on

I've noticed the taking over interviewer habit. If he's so defensive in front of the cameras can you imagine what he's like behind closed doors. There is no way the dinosaur would allow let alone assimilate feedback that goes against his preconceived views.
Re: Wenger Out protest - Sunday 2nd April 14:30 Man City (H)
No new contract - Wenger Out - he doesn't like awkward questions does he ^^^ he's a busted flush and clinging to his job like a comfort blanket, knowing he'll be out in the footballing wilderness once this (very lucrative) gig is over. Even if someone is mug enough to give him an International managers job that will end in disaster as well. I predict China or Africa will come calling.

Some wanker columnist in The Mirror was slagging us off. Saying it'd make no difference and we're all classless cúnts
Nice to see TOF bristle at the mention of our protests. Let's keep it up
Current forecast says thick cloud at lunchtime, light rain by 3pm.Here's hoping we get airborne
