Just seen the clip of him boarding the train.
Although we all know that the number of WOBs is growing it's still a real eye opener when you see something as raw as this, right in his face. 'Get out of my club..fuck off' really makes you feel quite shocked. But at the end of the day however sad it is that it's come to this, I'm never gonna criticise anyone for feeling how they're feeling and whilst I want him replaced I don't think I personally would subject him to that amount of disrespect.
To my mind the banner said it all for me last week. It got the press coverage we all wanted and it's a shame it wasn't in the press again yesterday.

interesting to see the pics of training today - a downcast wenger and no smiles or japes with the players going on.
it is sad to see wenger abused, but he did just take a 60% pay rise in the summer, he earns 8 million a year plus he works for another French TV station, and those that pay to go home and away have a right to express their anger at his stubborness, condecension, and repeated failures.
maybe the bad language was out of order, but i'm behind them 100 % .
I would happily take a wage rise to £8 MILLION a year - and anyone could tell me to f off as many times as they want - I would simply smile inside and booked another holiday to hawaii or some such place.

Okay - how many times have we ALL shouted just F*ck Off Wenger either during a game, or at the Tv etc...when his usless management skills have cost us yet another bumholing and all the embarrassment that go with his (still) being the manager of Our Team?
I agree it shouldn't need to come to this - But he seems impervious to any logic or reasoned debate or suggestions...he is a law unto himself - and as we have all witnessed anyone dare challenge or question that - get's ousted
Jacqui Oatley for instance - she has beeen covering Prem games for 18 months - suddenly one run in with the despot and she has been relegated to covering championship games only......
It is a Sad Sad situation - But it is going to get a LOT Worse before he does finally go (either of his own accord or kreonke see's his profits being affected)
Why is it that if 60,000 people jeer and swear at a manager at full-time, that's understandable, but if ten people do it outside a stadium, it's suddenly "disgusting"?
As far as I'm concerned, Wenger has to face the music. He could have walked out on his own accord, but chose not to. He's enjoyed adulation from the fans when winning trophies, so why should he be immune to criticism during these dark times?
Had the fans approached him, or were at the risk of becoming physical, then it's a whole different matter - but for £7m a year, he can live with some abuse after a defeat.

I agree with you that it is sad about the abuse but I'm more sad for the Arsenal fans who have lost their love for someone who should have been revered forever by us.
Any time anyone feels like feeling bad for Wenger over this they should remember just how many opportunities he has had to either change his methods, get some assistance or just walk away. He has totally brought this on himself by his own arrogance and stubbornness and it was always going to come to this eventually.
Clockender mentioned the tv station thing and it truly bugs me. Question: do Jose, Ancelotti, Pep, Klopp, Simeone, or even LVG spend weekends off providing punditry services, and doing keepy-uppys on foreign tv? Jose is box office and could take a mint doing it but chooses not to. He's too invested in winning with Chelski. Ditto Pep, ditto Ancelotti. As far as am aware Wenker is the only manager of any big club, spending his spare hours taking in more coin for himself with tv appearances.
After he was ditched by TF1 he spent the first available weekend negotiating a new deal with BE1n Sports. Why is he allowed to do this? If he was winning like Ancelotti/Pep/Jose we'd care less...but his performance is outrageously inept.
No other club would allow him to continue doing this. So why the hell is it still happening? It's clear that despite all Wenker's fluff about "absolute commitment", that far mar could be done if he put the hrs in to learning about basic tactics, and simple man-management.
northbank123 wrote:And we will finish 4th again this season. As badly as we are playing the league is fucking appalling and we have enough decent players who will club together and turn it on for one prolonged run in the second half of the season, which in this league is going to be enough.
Chelsea and City 1 and 2, even factoring in United (who are gash) 3rd who the fuck else is going to finish there? Liverpool and Spurs have been even worse than us. Southampton have to play United (twice), us, Chelsea, Everton and then Newcastle away in their next 8 games, they will sink like a stone. West Ham? Don't be silly. We will be there at the end of the season and part of Wenger's spell is that he makes 4th seem like some sort of achievement by virtue of how awfully we have started the last few seasons (except last year).
Pretty much how I see it. At the start of the season i thought we'd be 3rd with utd 4th....think its more likely to be the other way round now, which shows just how shit the league is.
We'll put together a run which will coincide with players returning from injuries and a more settled defence.
The injuries will then be trotted out by the AKB's as the reason for the shit start....totally ignoring the fact that we shouldn't be starting the season with only six defenders.

It was also ok for 70,000 people to sing "sit down you pedophile" to that very manager without moral outrage. fucking hypocrites.
Arsenal have conceded 7 Premier League goals this season from their opponent's first attempt on target.
The earliest goal of the last ten scored by Arsenal in the Premier League is the 60th minute winner by Welbeck at WBA .

I agree, mate. I find it really distasteful for people to be abusng him like that at the train station but I do understand where that frustration and anger stems from. And whilst I won't criticise those involved, I personally don't agree with what they did. But I do defend their right to do it.
I do wonder though, how many of those lads would say any of that to him if they hadn't had a few sherberts beforehand?
I want Wenger to go now, great memories hes left me with including winning the FA cup last season.
Got to say, the shit what happened at the train station, made me feel gutted and ashamed.
We are THE ARSENAL.

THE Arsenal - we once knew and loved is GONE.......no matter when and how Wenger goes - and whom his replacement is - Kroenke will run the club to make himself profit - even if usmanov - perhaps the lesser of the two evil *word censored* comes on board(no pun intended) - The way the club was run when we grew up - will never return.
As for Wenger being abused and cursed at - It is awful - and I don't think I could do it myself - Whether sherbeted up or not - But, I can understand why they did it...he simply will not see the Truth, the Facts and admit things MUST change.
There would be no one happier and more relieved if by some miracle Wenger was able to make the necessary changes - in both how things are done and his supporting staff (coaches etc) so that things improved permanently - BUT we all know he will not accept outside help/advice /input that is why we are in the mess we are.
It is gioing to get a lot worse before it gets better - I wish this wasn't so painful - But there seems to be no other way.
