Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

From the gooners latest email

""Hello,

After a break of more than two months, The Arsenal are back at the Emirates later today.

We're really looking forward to the return of Grant Xhaka during tonight's exciting preseason friendly ""

That gooner editor has to be one of the greatest fc*ukwits known to football, between his obsession with womens football, his constant need to point out he's a journo.......and his repeated use of the gooner to further his own social media agenda.....i cant stand the bloke

Zinchenko :- And just to ad insult to injury the cuntslop is £125k a fuckin' week

And thereby hangs your problem , we are too generous when we buy and then find no-one else is prepared to pay a fee and the wages.
Same with Nketiah and Nelson and probably Ramsdale too.

As for Xhaka the fans in tonights stadium will not be the ones he swore at. Many of us have stopped going to meaningless friendlies. Tonight is for the ones that can't get a ticket for league and cup matches.

🚨Jurrien Timber has been struggling with a load-bearing injury, as per @garyjacob.

He’s not expected to be involved against Bayer Leverkusen this evening.

I hope not but it doesn't look good, first impressions.

Teams from Emirates. No Riccardo Calafiori or Jurrien Timber. #AFC

Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Jorginho, Havertz, Ødegaard; Vieira, Trossard, Jesus.

Leverkusen: Kovar; Kossounou, Tah, Tapsoba; Frimpong, Xhaka, Garcia, Hincapie; Terrier, Adli, Wirtz.

A dodgy keeper eh? Given the track record of Inaki Cana, we'll probably sign him.
