"The way I hear it, he goes to Arsenal. They want to get a replacement for Granit Xhaka.
When you hear those amounts (£35m), I don’t think he will stay with us." [Turkish football]
Don't tease me.... I'm semi engorged at the thought of that fuckmonkey leaving...
I know DB don't do it to us McD ffs it's like coming from 3-1 down at home to Soton and drawing 3-3 but having chances to win 4-3 Nae point gettin the baws tickled if I'm not shooting ma load all over the place here
The latest is that Arteta will not be replacing "Arsenal star" (Talking about Xhaka, confusing I know) Arteta not looking to replace but to add to the squad. Except for ESR, looks like he's definitely off.
Xhaka will no doubt leave on his own terms, when he wants to leave. Probably in about 5 years time......and then become part of the coaching staff before moving to the boardroom
Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi is ‘VERY CLOSE to accepting an offer’ to play at Arsenal next season. A move to Barcelona has been ruled out. [@fansjavimiguel, AS] #afc
West Ham's England midfielder Declan Rice, 24, Bayer Leverkusen's French forward Moussa Diaby, 23, and Crystal Palace pair Wilfried Zaha, 30, of the Ivory Coast and England's Marc Guehi, 22, are among Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta's six-man summer wish-list. (Mail)
Nice to know he's listening to me about Zaha
....and it's been waaayyyyyyyy too long since we had a Diaby
Diaby
Nelson
Rice
Vieira
There must be a McDonald or a Lukic somewhere we can add to the retro names in the team list ?

There is a Lukic at Fulham but I wouldn't advocate buying him.

But from all the clips he can win a tackle ( doesn’t push people in the back, he actually wins the ball with his foot )
He also has the ability to carry the ball forward, skip past players and not just throw himself on the ball trying to claim a foul

And not one of them fit to clean the boots of their original namesake.
Arsenal have scouted Dinamo Zagreb's Josip Sutalo as they look at centre-back options this summer. Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi another player being looked at.
| “Mikel Arteta will have a budget of over £150m for the summer, through club funds and sales, as the Arsenal manager seeks to further hone his squad for another Premier League title challenge.
“Arteta’s priority is a midfielder, with West Ham United's Declan Rice the main target, but the manager is also looking for a forward who can move into the centre, and a defender.
“Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for Kieran Tierney, Reiss Nelson, Falorin Balogun, Nuno Tavares and Nicolas Pepe.” [@MiguelDelaney, @Independent] #afc

How much will that bring in ?
Tis funny, but Tierney has the highest win percentage of any player in premier league - AFC have won 81% of games he has started. Personally I find it sad and disappointing how he has been pushed out - all and sundry tried to tell me that zinchenko was an upgrade on him, but now lately all I am seeing and reading is comments about how zinchenko is killing the team and Tierney should be playing, and we on verge of selling him Zinchenko is a good footballer imo, but the reality is that he isnt a good or natural defender - Tierney should be left full and zinchenko should be in xhaka's position imo
Have to say that the more I watch mcallister from brighton, the more I think that he would work well in xhaka's position for us - surely champs league football would be more enticing to him than europa league with the victims ?

Who would make an offer for Nelson when he is free to walk away as he would be out of contract?
If we sold Tierney then we certainly need another left back / inverted to cover Zinchencko
Let’s hope whoever we get keeps us on the upward trajectory , with upgrades in key positions.

Zinchencko is great when we dominate the ball but in tight games he can be found wanting as the opposition will target the gaps he leaves when he goes off on a wander,
2 or 3 goals recently have either been because he is out of position or his defending has been poor - Tierney is the better defender, tackler and our back line is more solid with him there, but we lose a little on the offensive.
There really should be enough games to be able to play both what with injuries etc, just maybe Edu / Arteta have a cunning plan ?
