The Summer 2014 TRANSFER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Cazorla has told friends and family that he wants to return to Spain – despite recently signing a new contract with the Gunners – and would ‘love’ to sign for Ateltico
Hmm... not sure if I can believe this, Santi has always seemed happy with us. Although being played out of position due to Ozil, he may have become disillusioned. If he does leave it would make not re-signing Cesc all that worse.

I don't know whether you're being facetious about this signing, but this could prove to be absolutely crucial.

We're finally addressing our injury issues and this guy has a formidable reputation.

So we feigned interest in buying Vela back so as to scare Sociedad into buying his contract out?

Typical. Everyone knows we're not interested in actually purchasing players, we hoard money - that's our forte.

This would ease the pain of seeing Cesc in a chav shirt :D

Chelsea in for ANOTHER ex-Arsenal star as they ready bid for Man Utd target Alex Song

I would laugh myself silly if this happened :barscarf: :D

Song would be a fool to leave: if you're going to spend your career on the bench, do it in sunny Barcelona while watching entertaining football, not in dreary west London watching the football equivalent of explosive diarrhea.

Although, I assume his imperial skillset is no longer necessary in Spain and they're looking to ship him out.

if this is true it really would rub salt in the wound of fabregas not being signed...

As some have suggested - Wenger - he of the no tactics yet 30 years in football - could have sold Santi and brought in Fabregas - who is the better of the two.

Yet again wenger fucks up...... :banghead:

There's NO WAY Jose that ourinho would sign a dawdling half wit like that bad excuse for a footballer Song...Jeeeezusss - we did well to get rid of the *word censored* - the only way he'll come back to the prem is if he signs for a bottom of the table club or if...if...if (Oh! SH*T!) ...if Wenger sings him up again... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
