THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

If anyone wants to know why Wenger should go, just look back on this thread and see gooner v gooner. So sad. :(

flash gunner wrote:The 200 posts plus many more as Babatunde that are all anti Arsenal adding to this he disappears after we get a win (in a meaningful game) and comes instantly on after a loss or bad performance. Never looks back on past glories in any meaningful way there is always a Wenger/Arsenal dig at the end of it.

I work with virtually all sp*rs fans so I know exactly what *word censored* they can be and how much shit they talk and the post I highlighted on previous page is exactly word for word what they said to me today.

The problem is there is so much negativity on here created by the goings on at Arsenal, some over the top some not, that a sp*rs fan could easily go under the radar and troll and many would go along with it. The hatred for Wenger should never outweigh the love for Arsenal
Oh God pal you should go work with David Icke with insight like that
I've forgotten more about supporting Arsenal than you've had Richmond sausages in your mouth amigo. I'm a lifelong Gooner, just not a thumb-sucking Wenger nappy-wearer. I got more pleasure out of watching us grind scrappy wins at Auxerre, and a team that could actually defend to the extent it conceded just 17 goals in a season. I'm not one of these generation Nouveau-Red Action who are so spunk-brained they think you can't criticise after "a win". That's bullshit and I'll carry on giving my opinion. Funny, I'm never happy "after a win". True these days. Why? Errrm cos my mentality is that when we had crowds of 38,000 and paid less than £19 to watch Glenn Helder and Ian Selley, I'd be thrilled to watch us beat Accrington or Ipswich. My expectations were lower and the club waß part of the Islington community.

The club is now a farce, in the main followed by young buffoons who think the club melts without Wenger. Because supporting Arsenal now apparently means you fork out over £1k, and that the manager is on £8m a year and feels brash enough to talk down to fans like peasants, I'm not going to bend over and let him stuff Camembert up my arse because he manages wins against the worst club side in Europe, and beats S'oton. Fuck that. I can get excited if Arsenal beat Chelski, Citeh and United - their comparable peer group (all with cheaper tckts curiously).
I don't buy into the loser ethos that you should eat the spunk out of Arsene's stockings as he managed yet another win v Burnley/S'oton/Hull/Villa. That's like Lewis Hamilton celebrating beating a Moris fucking Minor in a 3-lap race
If you cream ur undies at every win vs Villa/Everton then good for you.

I'll get excited when the manager on £8m, the club with a wage bill of over £150m, the club that bans its fans from bringing contrarian material...when they begin to beat United, Chelsea, City, Barca, Real. When they actually realistically compete for a title, sthg even Liverpool have managed in the past decade FFS.

If your world involves eating the turd au chocolat that's served up and thinking it's caramel?
GOOD FOR YOU AMIGO
It's my opinion, I'm entitled to it without having some faux MI6 agent claiming "you're a Spud"
Go work in North Korea with that attitude pal
I want much, much more and expect much more.

Oh and PS yes, my hatred of Wenker surpasses my love for Arsenal. Why? Because Arsenal PLC no longer gives a fuck about what we think, or they wouldn't allow a divisive figure who's split the fans, leads to them fighting each other, etc remain in the job. He is now bigger than the club, which is unforgivable. Our club that we fund, had been handed over to a megalomaniac who thinks we should worship 4th place. And sees nothing wrong with a disgruntled, deeply divided fanbase. He thinks there's nothing wrong with hard up fans getting financially pelted for tckts in an age of austerity, whilst he bitches about huge wage inflation (as he picks up £8m for himself). He's tearing this club apart and has been putting his interests ahead of our own for a whole decade.
And make no mistake it's not because he doesn't win the lot - it's because it's a deliberate policy where he says "fuck the fans, I care for the board". At every other club it's the other way round. Even autocrat Fergie knew what counted were the fans.

Give it a rest Baba; it is exactly this sort of silliness that got you in trouble before.

Hate Arsene If you like, quite a few here do, but if your disgust for one man exceeds your passion for your club then perhaps it's time to find something else to vent your considerable spleen on.

Isn't claiming that John Terry is your hero a banning offence? If not, it should be.
