I can see a "Falling Out" when Boehly keeps trying to tell Poxy what to do... give January / February next year... when Boehly insists on buying a player (he likes) but will not fit in Poxy's system etc...

The scum are DOOMED.

And long may it continue.

I looked at the list of options open to them when they sacked conte and there was some seriously good managers on the list - when I seen during the week that they hadnt even approached nagelsmann and have no intention of doing so, I wondered who the fcuk they are going for and if it is rodgers (who I rate as a decent manager), then that sums up everything about that club. Poch, nagelsmann and enrique would all be far better choices imo, and they could have got any of those 3 imo

I remain unconvinced by Declan Rice but if signing him means the end of pussy Partey then I’ll drive him to the ground myself to get the deal done.

Regularly we make subs and look worse as a team. Seriously worrying.

What he is, is a leader. Captain from an early age and always steps up and takes responsibility. Yes, he's not Zidane and Vieira rolled into one, but he will be one who is capable of standing up and fighting fire with fire.

If you wanted to compare the two characters then look no further back than when we played them and drew 2-2 - one arrogant cock thought the game was won and wanted to try a bit of ball juggling in his own half. The other one took the game by the scruff of the neck and led his team back into it......including dispossessing the aforementioned arrogant cock to set the comeback up

However, unless we sign a leader in defence - someone like Kyle Walker - it still won't be enough. All title winning teams (and teams capable of going deep in the CL) have at least 2 born leaders, often more. We have zero, and one isn't enough

We can cast around looking to blame individuals but the collective fucked up today.
We have it in us not turn up especiallywhen we get pressed at speed . They got rid of Martinelli early and bullied Xhaka and Jorginho who were too slow which meant that Odegaard and Jesus disappeared and all our threat went .
Brighton were not the first team to do this to us just the best at it apart from City . Our early season system has been rumbled and Arteta has to prove that he can adapt because we can expect a lot more of the same and a lot more often unless we get some pace and bite in the centre of the pitch
When you control the midfield you control the game we need more than our three at present .

True Steve, but lets be honest here and say that there is a massive gulf in captaining a club like the shammers, and captaining a big club expecting to challenge for the big trophies like we are. Rice has no experience of playing for a team expected to win most games. He has no experience playing for a club where the demands on players are constant - playing for the shammers there is an expectation to fight and battle, but if you do that and lose then its ok, but playing for AFC there are only maybe 4 games a season where that would be acceptable. Also lets be honest here and say that he will not survive at AFC based on leadership alone - he will be expected to be of a required level of a footballer, and I have never seen that talent level in him tbh - when he plays for england he is the one that looks out of his depth most of the time. Personally I would rather stick with jorginho and pertey for the cdm position, and then buy McAllister for xhaka's position - for starters McAllister is a better player, plus he will cost at least 40m less than the over-rated Rice

I should also add that I would love to see us sign kyle walker this summer - yes in many, many ways he is a dispicable c.unt, but he is an excellent full back still, and is a born winner

Rice, Walker and Zaha would be a great start

What is it about us and the right back position. After years of putting up with Bellerin, Cedric and a host or other soft c.unts, we've now got a CB playing there because our main signing there is a permacrock who last had a decent game over a year ago.

Partey can't be relied upon I'm afraid. Proved it time and time again. Rice would be a huge improvement on all our midfielders. We have no chance of signing McAllister

Because ? By all accounts his price tag and the number of clubs after him are both lower than rice and caciedo, so surely that would make him more attainable than the other two ?

Because I get the impression most of the big clubs really want him - Liverpool being amongst them. I'm not sure how genuine anyone else's interest is in Rice, and he wants to stay in London. MacAllister will have his pick of clubs and it won't be us he chooses.

We badly need a striker, someone with a physical presence who can finish. Any ideas? I don't rate DCL.

Ivan Toney would be the most obvious solution. Ollie Watkins not quite as physically strong but very direct and pace to burn, and his strike rate has been impressive. Don't watch foreign football so can't comment from a position of wisdom there, but Vlahovic was supposedly that guy and allegedly has interest in joining?
