Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Another for Frankenstein, there must be something in the approach of hiring players that are really good in there preferred positions and then playing them in those positions.

I wonder if anyone else has caught on to that system

Still hope here, city could get fucked over by a shocking decision that could open the game up. Like that time that ehhhhh, that ehhhhh, that ehhhhhh…..can’t seem to remember a time they got screwed funnily enough.

Ah well, these things even themselves out over the course of a season.

Watching the city west ham game, once again a team not trying against them....if West ham get a touch, they get closed down fast and not just standing them up, but going in on them with a take the ball or take the man mentalaty

Those teams (and their fans - another morgue atmosphere here at West Ham) just go through the motions in these games.

Coast through with little effort, take the L and move on to the next one.

2 games and 2 Frankenstein hat tricks, defenders just give up before the first whistle goes, any time I’ve see him up against any half decent defender he goes missing, you won’t see him for 90 minutes. Against the dregs in the premier league it’s like they’re backing him for a hat trick privately with a dodgy bookie

I've dislike him since he punched that horse in Blazing Saddles. :censored:

I know Arteta had got a lot of stick (probably rightly) for not signing a striker…..but when you are up against the machine that is City is it actually worth trying to compete?
Until City start getting hit with massive fines (I’m thinking several hundred million at least) then it is pretty pointless to be honest. The PL have got a problem which is only going to get bigger I fear.
Not sure that I like how football is heading.

Oh West Ham tried alright, they just couldn’t land a punch. Etihad’s defence isn’t as good as ours but off the ball, they are streets ahead. They contain and control teams far better than us and they have a genuine number 9 who disrupts defences and is obviously clinical. Put him in our team yesterday and he gets a haul.

Well done Geordie c.unts :barscarf:

Spuds go into our game now low in confidence after 1 win in 3. Has to help us just a little. Still wish we had Merino and Dec playing against them though! :banghead:

Hope we ask the Premier League to explain why they seem to have so many problems with consistently applying the "letter of the law" which only appears to apply to Arsenal.
