Other Matches Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Watching the city west ham game, once again a team not trying against them....if West ham get a touch, they get closed down fast and not just standing them up, but going in on them with a take the ball or take the man mentalaty
Oh West Ham tried alright, they just couldn’t land a punch. Etihad’s defence isn’t as good as ours but off the ball, they are streets ahead. They contain and control teams far better than us and they have a genuine number 9 who disrupts defences and is obviously clinical. Put him in our team yesterday and he gets a haul.
Truth is arteta dont want a geuine number 9...hes so clever he dont need a goalscorer

You’ve got to be fucking retarded to think, or want, international breaks at the start of the club season. Let alone rolling international breaks every three weeks between Aug- Nov.

Imagine thinking that people want to stop watching their club teams, that they’ve waited all summer to watch, so that they can watch an international friendly. Yeah, that’s brilliant.

With all due respect rodders, the "headliners" like sven, capello etc havent worked out too well either have they ? I've always liked Carsley and am gutted that he didnt take Ireland managers job - he is all about coaching and not into bullshit hype or blowing his own trumpet etc. I wish him well but not tonight obviously
