I really think we are at a low point where most of the players hang back to sign for Arsenal

Boateng is a player I mooted as a potential signing before he went to citeeh and he def is a strong physical powerful player but why buy him when we have squillachi ?  :banghead:

Apparently we're in negotiations to sign Joel Campbell. Don't know how much of it is true but the rumours are strong and our people are in Costa Rica negotiating at the moment.

This guy has been lighting up the Copa America this year, 19 years old, bags of pace and trickery and a hell of a finisher too. Would be a great signing IMO. Young and inexperienced I know, but he's the kind of naturally talented flair player which excites the crowds and has pace, which we've been lacking.

Then we only need to go and win the double again to have a ready made song for him.

Double, double, double Joel Campbell has won the double and the scum form the Lane have won f*ck all again but Joel Campbell has won the double.

Shay Given has been at Villa's training ground all day today. Expect a big story in The Sun over the next few days.

I really really hope this Joel Campbell deal goes through, this fellah is superb.

Big, strong, powerful, a left foot like Van Persie and a right foot that can finish, bullies defences and has so much to offer on the ball, this signing would mean the departure of Bendtner so i suppose it all depends on his future!

Oh and as for banging on about Boatang, he couldnt even get into a team that finished below us in our own league.. AVERAGE FOOTBALLER

Look at the league table again dummy..........not alone did they finish above us in the league but they also have a nice shiny pot displayed in the trophy cabinet  The fact that he spent a lot of last season inj might also have been a factor in his lack of starts for citeeh[/b]

I can honestly say that I'd never heard of this Joel Campbell bloke before. If what people on here are saying is true then he sounds a very exciting prospect for the future.

However, I think we need proven quality with lots of pace up front now! Falcao from Porto would be ideal for us, but he's just signed a contract extension until 2015 so we'd have to come in with big money to prise him away and we all know what a skinflint Wenger is!...
