As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Exactly. He was given almost a blank chequebook and carte blanche to do what he wanted at United. He just didn't take stock of what they had there. If he had have done he wouldn't have decided to play with 3 CBs when they didn't have a decent one in the whole squad. And he wouldn't have gone out and chucked so much money at attacking players whilst ignoring their defensive needs.
Or maybe he did take stock and just ignored it because he wanted the Hollywood signings and the ego trip. Either way they still had 4 very good players in de Gea, Rooney, Mata and van Persie, no European fixture congestion and £150m + huge wage bill available. They needed rebuilding but as rebuilding project goes that is a pretty fucking useful platform.
I'm sure the manager essentially calling the players dumb fucks will help their confidence!
He's the Dutch Pardew. Something goes right, it's all down to him and his genius. Something goes pear shaped it's all down to the players. Absolute Ubercunt. He'll be waving a notebook around at the fans soon....
"Mariaaaaaaaa!!! We're gonna beat ya!"
That Blondie tune is really catching on for me. Shame we won't beat them though....

no, the decision was correct, his head was off. the rule is a goalscoring part of your body has to be offiside, and it was quite clearly tbf.
dont worry though - Rooney says his best years are yet to come.... bwa ha ha....
you have to credit LVG though, he has managed to make them worse by spending more - he now has FOUR massively paid primadonnas who he can't drop to shore up the midfield.
Gullit is right, LVG badly underestimated the quality of Prem attacks, he should have bought two DM's and two CB's rather than adding to their goalscoring ability.

That's news to me. A few years back there was a big song and dance about giving the attacking player the benefit of the doubt in offsides, are you now saying that this rule has been revised? It's an almost impossible job for the linesman, slow mo replays showed KN's body was level with the last defender and i thought that rendered him onside.
