THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Just out of interest, why did you think we'd turned a corner?

Stoke humiliated us only 2 weeks ago. Since then, we've had back to back games against teams who let us play our football the way we like to. We know we tend to win those games but when teams take us out of our comfort zone with power football (Stoke) and quick pressing and good pass/movement (Liverpool) our game collapses.

It genuinely baffles me how anyone could have gone into the Liverpool game thinking we had begun to turn a corner. :o

Anyway, we'll beat QPR with ease, but - more interestingly - if we can win 3 of the next 4 away games (West Ham, Southampton, Citeh and Sp*rs) then we can start talking about turning a corner.... but I won't be holding my breath. :|
Simply put, against those two team we beat both teams we put out weren't exactly top notch however immaterial of the quality of the opposition our makeshift teams played well, they actually worked as a team. I had hoped that that would spur the rest of the team on, their is also the fact that the Scouse :censored: have been as bad as us lately.

Every fucking season without fail we will make the same mistakes in a match, Wenger will say the same thing after the match and things will get repeated in the next season. Wenger and the board are only interested in making us a laughing stock and not a club we feel proud of.

The singing for le cock last week finished the season for me I'm afraid - I dont really give a shit what percentage of fans sung his name (is in a small % overall) because it is still more than the wenger out brigade have mustered  Do those singing his name even care about results ? Will they look on yesterdays result as a good one even though we were leaging 6 minutes into injury time and conceded against 10 men ?

I am always baffled how le cock can make post match statements (like he did yesterday) suggesting that the players started nervously because last seasons thrashing was in their minds......how does that sit in with his "mental strength" description of his players ? They, like their manager, are mentally weak fcukwads and can all go fcuk themselves (with the exception of sanchez who was actually dire yesterday )

Wonga will always say what he has to.....to first, protect himself and absolve himself of any blame and secondly, to protect his leetle babies, who he vastly overpays to buy their loyalty and support. The man is a disgrace, and I use the word 'man' loosely because this 'thing' that runs the 'Arsenal Wiggy Bank', is an outright liar, bullshitter and puppet, with no honour, humility or honesty.

The manager's a fucking dud, the players are a mediocre bunch of spineless losers, the owner is a cretinous leech, the fanbase haven't the stones to do anything about it and the whole situation is one big sorry fucking shit heap.

Merry Christmas :barscarf:

Arseblog calling Arsenal "ridiculous" after yesterday, but no word about wenker though. I bet he has lost his belief on wenker too but can't/won't say that out loud.

or if we dont win these next two then it will officially be the lowest points won at this stage of the season since Wenger became manager.

18 years and he is going backwards very quickly...

I posted a similar thing on the Geordie thread on the way home from the match. I've never left a 4-1 win so miserable.
I had to work yesterday so missed the scouse match, this would normally piss me off...but I didn't really care. Any match I'm not at or watching I would normally do everything I can to keep up to date with the score...i didn't even check the result until 8pm yesterday.
I got in from work at midnight and had a choice of watching the game or the Apprentice final....i chose Alan fucking sugar.
I've given my ticket away for boxing day. My next game is the cup match....and I don't think I'll be that bothered if we get knocked out.

This is the lowest I've ever felt as a Gooner....and there is only one man to blame. I now think it's a race between him leaving before he kills all my love for the Arsenal.
my local non league team is looking more and more attractive..i can see the ground from my house, I know a few lads who have given up on league football and go (some arsenal), cheap entrance, beer, terracing, no ott stewards/old bill....the only downside is I don't care about the result!!!
