I’d honestly like to see it for a laugh, to be honest. It would be fucking funny to watch that bullshit theory come to an end.

I think everyone is missing the fact that they don't have access to the huge sums of money that we get in the PL. Both Celtic and Rangers would have comfortably competed in the English top flight pre the PL and I've no doubt that they would do so again if incorporated into it with the riches it brings. Both are historically massive clubs.

Fair point Retro, but if you put them in the PL right now, with the same level of finances they have right now - and let's say they get the same payments that clubs who come up via 1st and 2nd spot in the Championship receive - they'd both spend the season circling the drain
