1-1 wanna win trophies ????

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

His team; his players.. so yes, ultimately it's down to Wenger.

More so, when you consider the fact that he had a large pot of money to spend - and which the board wanted him to spend! - and yet he chose not to spend it , as he felt (publicly, at least) that our squad was strong enough to fight for the title and CL. That's looking rather foolish at the moment, I'm afraid

It's very frustrating, that's for sure.

We need - in no particular order :-

A new Captain giving proper leadership.

A new central defensive pairing giving us impact in both penalty areas.

Another one - or preferably two - midfielder(s) who can assist Fabregas and/or take over from him, when he does not perform; because we are utterly reliant on him - far more so than we were on PV4 at his peak.

I agree.

1-1 Sunderland away is not a bad result in isolation, but coming after losses to Fulham and Hull it looks bad.

We might win one of the cups this season though, but I strongly doubt we will win the league.

I think we have shown a level of consistancy this season but it has been on the negative side. We struggled to beat the baggies(promoted team), lost to fulham (barely escaped relegation last season), lost at home to hull (another promoted team) and today struggled to get a point v sunderland who spent most of last season fighting relegation and indeed may be doing the same this season. That shows a very worrying level of consistancy that wins against shit opposition like the geordies and bolton cannot hide
