ITS ALL OUR FAULT

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Yeh, I took that from yuo but there aren't enough singers to fill both layers.

just out of interest, why do a lot/most people not approve or agree with redaction? just curious thats all :? . is it because they should do more than they do to create a better atmosphere? and not stay in the rocket until 10 minutes before kick off?

personally, i think they do a decent job during games although they do sing a bit quick. apart from those 90 minutes though the redaction group dont seem to do much at all to help with the matchday atmosphere, they dont even email back if you offer any kind of help!

i think they have been successfully appeased (cf. Hitler 1939) by the club since the move from highbury, unfortunately appeasement is very much a british phenomenon and we are very succeptable as we tend to just grumble rather than make a fuss about things we disagree with...

the club sold its soul to the jcls and the club level yuppies and now wenger seems to think the fans are at fault for not supporting the team enough
cheek of him and he the one who saw the gaps that needed filling in the first team and done fcuk all about it :banghead:
with respect ...you asked me why i am not going to the 4x2's? this sums it up

I think slaughtering a few cockerels on the pitch before the game next Wednesday may help to create an atmosphere!

rtpgooner wrote:this is arsenal supporters trust view on it.

'The Arsenal Supporters' Trust shares Arsene Wenger's view that the matchday atmosphere at the Emirates sometimes needs galvanising

'The existing Red Action fan group do a great job with introducing initiatives and calls to get behind the team, but they need more help from the club to get their ideas across.

'The Trust would like to see the club work with supporter groups to address this.

'We believe that through the use of giveaways such as red and white scarves, better music and using the scoreboard that the club and fans could improve the atmosphere.

'Sometimes Arsenal's fans forget just how young our players are given their quality and that they need encouragement on the pitch.

'Wenger himself should appeal to the fans for more support. As his performance at today's AGM demonstrated he is passionate and persuasive about his players.'

It should be down to fans TO WANT TO bring there scarves along to games not be given them for free. like people say a few flyers/advertisements for people to bring them along would be a start. Why cant arsenal arrange for coloured cards to be put on seats so when the teams walk out the whole lower tier spells "THE GUNNERS". Chant sheets to be put on seats before the game so people get to join in,get to know the chants, just a few suggesstions?

i would love arsenal to put on a display of cards, scarfs etc but no doubt they would claim it is against health and safety or some bollocks like that, as for redaction you asked, i just dont see there point , all they are is a mouth piece when the club needs them ie usmanov, and when there not needed then put back into the corner of the ground where no one at the other end can hear them, they sing the songs too fast so no one else can join in and are more interested in the rocket then getting anything going pre kick off

i understand your views but surely they are trying at least. like you say tho the club do fuck all to help. thats why i hope what wenger said today can actually get the message across to more fans to sing and get behind the team, and more importantly the board to do something about it. Hopefully against the s**m us as fans respond to what wenger said

The club havent done anything to help themselves tho by having 7000 co-operate fans every game. these people turn up, sit down with their prawn sandwiches and just expect us to turn it on and win every game.
This is the biggest myth about the stadium.

I have sat in Club Level three times.

DB10 has sat up there a bit, so has SWL Gooner. Ask them what they think.

There are plenty of genuine long standing fans up there, who sing and get behind the team.

There are plenty of corporates in the regular seats as well.

Plenty of early leavers in regular seats too.

theres plenty of genuine up for it gooners in the ground, but there spread all over. slowly pockets of fans are getting things going, but the major factor for me is that lack of clearly defined stands and there for defined groups of fans.

clock end. banter with away fans
north bank. arsenals kop, great noise and you grew up wanting to sit there
east and west, great views and a place for the JG and FE

what do we have now?

were the blue quad, were the blue quad , were the blue quad emirates :banghead:
