Do you read your programme?

Buy it occasionally, probably one in every four matches I go to. If I buy it I always read the manager/"captain"'s comments on the train home.

I get the programme.

Sometimes has bland interviews but also has good features like interviews with non playing staff and a feature on history of the club.

I get the club magazine too, it is more in depth and much less sanitised.
The Three Wise Men feature from Charlie George, Kenny Samson and Lee Dixon is always a good read and Paul Kaye is definitely allowed a free hand in speaking out.

Only interesting bit, but even that...

Wenger gives nothing away, and never really tells us what he really thinks... just the same rehashed nonsense.

Gallas... well, who cares?

there's no fresh insight.. everything has to be approved by the press office, so anything controversial that Gallas might want to say is removed, and cliches about spirit and team work are added.

It's a shame, as I'm sure Gallas has lots of interesting opinions, but they'll never see the light of day until he leaves Arsenal, I'm afraid.

I always buy the programme as part of my ritual and keep them all.
Read some of it, and accept it is always going to be pro Club.

BT - I do remember that thread about Spud and the 26/27 minutes.

(and I didnt ask this question cos of my pic - honest)

And of course, I buy my Gooner

Who checks the lucky number?

And why always do it at half time when we are in the loo /getting a drink etc? They used to repeat it just be fore the end of the game but dont do that now. Times are hard - credit crunch etc.....

Basil, I remember Spuddy's question because I was the one who realised the squad number theory and then he ripped me off in the programme (hull one I think)

The lucky number thing is ALWAYS won by kids so they must target programme buyers with children.

I like it when they cock it up. The called Almunia a 'midfield legend' the other day.

That said, I felt mightily ripped off by the Emirate Cup prgramme which was extra pricey and after a summer of no Arsenal, only contained an interview with Denilson.

My dad buys them about 3 or 4 at a time for mates etc.

Always lets me read one but I only read a few pages, especially the bits where Arsene and Billy praise the fans (if they do), after the 2-1 loss at Old Trafford last season, in the Reading programme they praised us up big time, and rightly so.

I also get the magazine every month (nearly), it's very more opinionised, Paul Kaye, Paul Merson, Kenny Sansom, Charlie George, Lee Dixon, plus another fan every month makes you spoilt for opinions. Loads of competitions, takes 2 seconds to enter, I once won a signed copy by Gael Clichy in the summer just gone.

Also get the gooner ofc.

I always buy it as sometimes it's useful for the lastest going on's at the club i may need to know (ie: fixture changes etc)
I'm a collector as well so i can't go without it also buy the mag as a special deal as there's some useful features such as the new photography feature in the programme which i have a photograph which i took of Theo Walcott thats already been printed twice in the Utd and Porto ones (fingers crossed i'll win lol)
Plus The Gooner and UTA as with the others i got bored reading Gunflash

I always get one.

I have the complete collection for all home games - and some away - from the 1970-71 Double Season. Only Gunu and Olgit and CGwhocanhitem and maybe one or two others who are a bit more coy about their ages, can equal that -

I also read Wenger's programme notes with some care as I feel it is the one time he can address the Fans directly.

Fair enough it is pretty difficult to be non repetitive some times. But of late my eyes have glazed over as I read it and that wasn't down to the Kronenburg

I never wrote to the club about that. I spoke to someone I know who works there but I had no idea it made the program.

You used to be able to download the programme via Arsenal.com a few days after the game......can`t see a link, so I assume you can`t anymore.
