we are arsenal supporters and why have we not got the right to want better :?:
faith in the manager is not a good thing but wenger knows he can do what he wants and no one will ever question him,
for you to say get behind the team , why else support them? is a sad argument,
we want the best and have been lied too about money and the team since the move to the grove and even a blind man can see where we have our faults, it is time to bring in new players and wenger must see this or he is the blind man

you say that, but you're not willing to give the man a chance to rectify the situation

Is it the worst Arsenal side in 12 years or are the other teams getting better? I can recall the side from 99,00,01 which finished 2nd each year not being amazing. It was more that the others finishing 3rd 4th and 5th were even worse. We were quite lucky to be coming in 2nd those years. The shittyness of the other teams masked the problems I think.

Today's game showed me why Wenger can seem so stubborn. Diaby's goal was worthy of any of the best Arsenal side's ever assembled and was combined by 2 of the most frustrating players in the current side. If they could play that well more consistently we would be in a better position. But they don't. However Wenger must see this in training to persist with them. Song may just be the best player to play without the ball I've seen. He broke up play well today and got in the right places but as soon as he had possession he fucked it. As he always does. I can certainly see the potential in the players but potential must be realised and sadly it's been too long for a good number of players to realise this.

Wenger should be able to now accept this but I feel he will not unless we fall outside the top 4. After all 4th is the new 2nd in the Premier League. And as we've always been top 4 with all his previous teams he will persist.

It's hard to disagree with you Gus but right now I'd be happier with the devil I know. Any new manager would need to spend a big bulk of money to get things going the way he wanted and if that were to lead us to 3rd or 4th, well we'd be no better off than we are now.

Wenger knows what he is doing. This is like when England lost to northern ireland and wanted Sven out, then got McLaren.

Maybe you don't reliese how luck we are right now to have him.
Hahahahahaha!

Wnger can do no wrong hey!

I love those kind of comparissons!

How funny!

This is the worst Arsenal side in 12 years! You find me a comparrison that shiws me wrong!

So thats the worst Arsenal side since Wenger took over then? Only for them to win the double two years later.

You have a view and are allowed it like everyone else but are you really one of those people that smiles when Arsenal lose only to prove your point.

get behind the team, why else support them?

Its not about the trohpies, its not about the good times, it about supporting your club. try doing it some time.
Don't talk soppy you *word censored*!

I am with Arsenal through thick and thin!

Say to my face that I smile when Arsenal lose and I will give you a proper smile!

Disrespectful *word censored*!!

Amazing aint it, I question Wenger and I'm not a real Arsenal supporter! All these JCL's are Arsene supporters not Arsenal suuporters!

*word censored*!

I share the frustration Gus but in my opinion the man deserves one more summer. If things aren't better by February 2010, then I'd want him to go. One year. Time to learn from the mistakes of this season. I know the comeback - he's had plenty of time and we all saw this coming why didn't he? But..

I think chickens have come home to roost this season and the board/AW were lulled into a false sense of security by the squad punching above it's weight last year. I'm sure they assumed with the youngsters having that experience we'd improve again this year. The arrogance of that assumption gets to me. The way the club believed they'd never have to invest and that top four would always be a given.

Now this season has spelt out a lesson that even AW's stubborness cannot ignore - I'd give him one year to show us he's still the great manager we know he is.

Well if you do you'll realise that the side, although not in the best of shape is nowhere near as moribund as the latter three.

Neil and Howe were never remotely near winning the title, the latter never remotely near winning anything, GG was languishing around 12th.

Listen I don't want Arsenal to become a nothing team and I think that we need a holding midfielder and a new center back in Jan.

My point is that we need to back the team.

I think the biggest issue the players have is that when they get the ball they panic because of the fans recations and end up making mistakes.

I admit that the board was stupid to say wenger had a job for life, no manager should have that much freedom, but to say wenger doesn't care now and that the players aren't good enough is madness, if they were as bad as many of you suggest we would be where tottenham are right now.

Mourinho lost his job at chelsea after winning 6 trophies in 3 years because they didn't play like us.

of course i want wenger to succeed and i am hoping he will do it, he is the greatest manager we have ever had and i for one would love to see the man in charge of a successful arsenal for the next ten years, my point is he has no one ever to question him and that has led to the demise of the team because he is left trying to win the league with youngsters instead of bringing in quality when we needed it, ie , in the summer

Having just won a major European trophy the year before.

This team move further and further away from the liklihood of winning anything, with each passing week.

Yet Wenger assures us that they are improving all the time.

At least Howe, and Neil did not insult our combined intelligences by trying to suggest that we had title winning teams.

Also - and I know this irritates but it IS TRUE !!! _ we were paying two or three or five quid to watch Neil and Howe's boys play.

We are shelling out a fortune for this lot. Which means a heap of very average journeymen players are picking up a small fortune each week for precious little returm.

Is that really good enough - for any of us ?

Gus, you need to relax.

Guys, we don't know the facts, does the club have money to spend in January or not? It's one thing saying it, and another actually having it. I'd say Wenger must go at the end of the season if he doesn't spend in January, but if he has no money to spend, is it his fault? On the other hand, if he does have money - but somehow still believes in our current sqaud - therefore refusing to buy in January, then he must go. Even if we finish 4th, which I think we will.

i am sick of excuse after excuse coming out of wengers mouth, it is your team arsene and your players,
potential is a great thing to have in the team but football is in the now and not always tomorrow, he needs to bring in some quality and he needs to do it now before everyone forgets the good times and remembers when he lost the plot completely and tried to have the youngest team to ever win a league,
sorry arsene but the ball is now in your court you had better use it wisely
Spot on mate.

its the fucking board we should be venting our anger against, not wenger

how the fuck can man u buy players, be in debt and yet win trophies?

if thats what it takes then so be it, lets go in some debt and win some trophies! get DECENT players in!!
