ARSENAL WILL WIN THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Its not totally outside the realms of possibility but in honesty I cannot see it happening. I'm still reasonably confident of fourth place though.

Actually, even if we sign three attainable players... say Alex (has put in a transfer request), Ireland, Arshavin.

We're not that far from the top, and no-one else is playing that well.

well only 4pts behind Chelsea - so who knows, although don't we usually have a dodgy period in February/March - like last season when we lost the league in March

I think it shows how wide open the league is, because Liverpool & chelsea haven't been brilliant this season, just grinding out results

We won't win it and one of the big reasons (apart from the small squad and poor players etc etc) is the fact that we can only really motivate ourselves for the big games. Sure we can beat the chav$ and the mousers and manure but we lose too many points against teams that those three will beat 3 and 4 nil.

3rd is our best hope. 4th is the reality.

Reality check. Compare our lot Saturday to Manure yesterday or the Invincibles. I don't think many of them would get more than a few appearnces as subs in either team.

Please stop saying that because people are pointing out the current deficiencies they are not behind the team. We are all gooners and very concerned for the future of our club. :x

It's happened. Arsene has made his first appearance on the Gooner Forum disguised as Mr Finsbury Park Gooner

We are ready to pounce now, especially when we win every game 1-0 until the end of the season!

Its really not impossible, i think we can put a decent run together now, really believe that, we seem to be able to stay strong in the first half of games and then come out and win them in the second, its a big improvement!

If im totally honest about things i dont think we WILL win it, but who knows and im keeping the faith for as long as possible!

Whenever we've won the title recently, we've basically won the league in the second half of the season after coming from behind. November is normally the month we screw up (and this Nov was no different).

5 points off the top is nothing when you still have to play everyone again.

But we lack too many players, at the moment.

I dont think we will finish within 12 pts of Man Utd the truth is we are not good enough. The we can still win the title crap is the sort of thing we have come to expect from mad Wenger not the fans.No team that has Diaby Denilson and Eboue will ever win the league

Do you remember 1997/98? 13 points behind Man Utd after a defeat to Blackburn at home in mid december...Tony Adams argubly had his worst game in an Arsenal shirt that day...we dropped to about 6th or 7th in the league.

We kept on doing our business quietly...1-0 victories here, 2-1 victories there (Remember Gilles Grimandi grinding out a 1-0 victory over Palace at Highbury) and lo and behold March/April came around and we were right up there again.

Ok fair enough I cant see a Adams/Vieira/Bergkamp in this squad and it's incredibly unlikely, but as long as we keep winning (which with this Arsenal team who know what'll happen week by week) who knows
