Eboues first touch.........

The queation we keep asking is why Wenger picks him?Everytime he takes him off we play better.
Arrogance. In the same way as ignoring the defensive frailties.
What defensive frailties?

I just found Lord Lucan, Elvis, Shergar and Osama Bin Laden in a remote cave in Afghanistan. Have a tip off on "Song's pace" but nothing on Eboue

I'll keep looking... :banghead:

I'll put any money that the tip off about song's pace was a hoax and that is somewhere alongside his ability to tackle never to be seen again :x :banghead:

I had no idea so many of our team had studied at the " Lee Chapman Academy of Control and Quality First Touch " and most of them look like they graduated with honours as well

I was at Cardiff to witness Eboue first hand yesterday. I have watched every game on tv this season with the aid of my lovely motorised satellite system but I can only say that he is actually worse live than on tv!!

He completed less than a handful of passes - failed to control the ball every single time - in fact he only ever had control of the ball when the ball was played to him without a cardiff player nearby!!

If this is the standard of player we can expect these days then heaven help us?

Im all for giving players a chance to bed in and even to get over a crisis of confidence but Eboue is not having any of these problems - he is just poor and not up to Prem standards!!!

We let go Flamini, Diarra, Gilberto for various reasons and then perserve with Eboue? Monsiuer Wenger needs to accept that sometimes he gets it wrong? Im sure he is believing his own press these days "In arsene we trust" maybe he cant believe he has made a bad signing???

I thought Baptista has a bad first touch but at least he had a decent shot now and again ? Where is the redeeming Eboue feature????

I cannot understand why we let Jay Simpson go on loan, at a time when Walcott is injured and when Eboue is so poor in midfield.

Simpson is still learning, but at least he has experience of playing right midfield, and offers a bit of pace and power going forward.

I think he will get found out by top class defenders at present Quartz given his lack of experience.

You have to remember that he didn't even start in the Carling Cup apart from one game against Wigan and that is simply because he is too raw. He has made a good start to his time on loan at West Brom but that's all it is.

Given time he may come good but we are clutching at straws if we are hoping to rely on a player with no Premiership experience, playing out of position and with only a few decent games at Millwall under his belt.

Time will tell with Simpson but we cannot expect anything of him now, more so in a team that lacks experience anyhow.
