dose any1 knoe where the biggest crowd in world sport was at this weekend?? nope, not in tampa, not even old trafford, but croke park last nite, were over 79,000 turned up 2 watch dublin v tyrone in the 1st rd of the nfl. not bad for an amatur sport

, despite me disliking both teams imensley.

No, I'm not American

I just enjoy top level sport, really.

Last night I stayed up to watch Federer v Nadal (yet I'm not Swiss or Spanish) - but thoroughly enjoyed that epic encounter, and I'm sure tonight will be interesting too... although, American football is very stop/start so a few beers help

Federer/Nadal was EPIC. Apart from Federer's collapse.

That was a bit disappointing but am very glad Nadal won.

Actually, it's on the BBC, so there will be no ad breaks

Anyway, it's only the biggest sporting event in the world in the same way that the World Series in Baseball is actually a world series (i.e. it's not).

Still, I'll be watching. Due to Arizona knocking out Philly, who knocked out the Giants (my team), I'll be supporting the Cardinals. However, I'd be lying if I said I cared a great deal. Hopefully it'll be a decent game and not become one sided too soon

If you were born in Britain, have lived in Britain for most of your years and have no direct family links to the US......how the fuck can you have "a team" in NFL ??

I am a San Diego chargers fan, simply because I love the city of San Diego. I saw the Chargers vs Broncos last regular season game in San Diego and it was an incredible experience. Of course my favourite sport is football and my only sports-related love is Arsenal, and I used to dislike American Football (too many breaks in play, too hard to understand, stupid etc) but once you get to know the rules, and see the size of some of the players in the flesh you cant help but appreciate it. Last years superbowl was incredible.

And to Derry Gooner - As a chargers fan, i must say that Philip Rivers is a god Jay Cutler is a *word censored*

Can you honestly say its bigger than the World Cup or the Olympic Games - truly global events.

No, nor would I. In fact, in one of my posts on here, I referred to the fact that it's only the biggest sporting event in the world in the same way that the world series is a worldwide event - it's not.

You should give it a watch. Who knows, you might even ending up enjoying it!
