Exactly, its just bollox! Cant believe itgus ceasar is a legend wrote:I agree with what has just been posted.
If we have a wage cap then fine and that should be respected. Why though have we spent so much time on someone who we obviously cannot afford or are unwilling to change our pay structure for?
It just seems and incredibly bad waste of time and effort!

I guess the full facts will come out in time, but we haven't done ourselves any favours in the PR stakes. We have protracted this thing out and now it appears to have fallen down because of wages??
The new chief exec hasn't earnt his money this month. Not a good start. It also doesn't bode well in convincing RVP/Theo/Cesc that their future should be at a club who can't afford a decent international, let alone the Villa's or Robinho's of this world.
We seem to have accepted, as fans, that the club are skint. That this is due to the move. The stadium, however, more than recoups the debts it's created. The board are unwilling to invest in the team and we are seeing the results.
How many had one eye on the Villa game this weekend? It wasn't long ago that we were looking out for the manure results.

I just saw that.tonysaunders wrote:Anyone see the kid just on Sky Sports?

It would have been better if he just said "I am fed of watching that *word censored* Eboue so I would love Arshavin to join us"!

Long way to go yet gents.
The fact of the matter is, the guy is in London. So all this "we just wanted to show we were interested" is rubbish. You dont negotiate for this long & have the player himself fly over for a PR stunt.
Also remember that all of the news is from Zenit & his agent. Do you honestly believe he would fly over here if we could only afford half his wages?
Wait until 5pm
