How Irish are you?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Us English should fight back.

Open loads of English Bars. In all parts of the world. Including Ireland.

That'll teach 'em. !!!! :D :unionjack:

(Why no English flag in the emoticon library?)

Thats why I married her!

I have an Oirish grandad and a Dutch grandad but I am English through and through.

I just allow the Oirish to brew my fave tipple for me.

Does drinking in the 12 Pins, Blackstock Arms and Plimsoll Arms over the years count towards any Irish blood? :corkbarry: If not then no  but might have some 19th century Lithuanian blood in me if that makes me more of a downtrodden rebel that just a plain, boring old anglo saxon from south east England

Guiness is actually an ENGLISH brew. :D

Came from Spittalfield Market. The porters used the local taverns for a booze-up. Every tavern brewed it's own beer.

One of the taverns overcooked the ingredients, by mistake.

The beer ended up black, and slightly bitter.

The porters got a taste for it. The beer became known as "Porter".

Arthur Guinness discovered it. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Swap those two counties for Leitrim and Monaghan, i'm exactly the same. I wouldn't consider myself "Irish" or "English" though...

I used the chatup line "got any irish in you"
"no"
"want some?"

once... she said "I don't get it, you're not Irish, you're from raaaaand 'ere".

So I spunked on her leg.

True story! Apart from the leg spunking!
