New Nasri Chant

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsenal intend to reward Samir Nasri for his impressive form to date this season by offering the France international an extension to his contract at the Premier League club.

The 23-year-old, a £15.8m signing from Marseille in the summer of 2008, scored his seventh goal in as many club appearances in the 3-0 victory at Manchester City yesterdayto maintain his eye-catching start to the season since his recovery from a knee injury. Nasri's current deal runs until 2012, with negotiations to take place on what is expected to be a three-year extension, tying him to the north London club until 2015.

Arsène Wenger is convinced the midfielder will go on to make a prolonged impact this term after two relatively inconsistent years in England. "At 23-years-old, your career starts at the top level and he is becoming more efficient," said the Arsenal manager. "I think he has become stronger and you judge a player by his 'numbers': yesterday he had a goal and an assist. That's what you want from players who have a lot of talent like he has.

"He is quite a complete player because he can run with the ball, he is quick and he is a clinical finisher now. I believe we have a great player in him now."

Whiles its better than nothing, my main problem with this song is that 'Nasri' is two syllables so we've had to add an extra one to make it work.

I think marcengels is being sarcastic!! Ermm, you are, aren't you? :? :?

Personally I love it and although I'm normally strict on using the correct number of syllables, I really don't think it matters on this one as it's such a catchy tune. To be honest, we don't have that many songs to sing that we can afford to be this fussy.
