It was Islington Police who blocked that one, although even if they had not i suspect the club would have done it anyway. Stadium management only ever saw the old Clock End situation as a pain in the backside.

I guess I can understand their stance, they just want the game to go off as peacefully as possible, even if it is to the detriment of the atmosphere.

Alanalan, I think the problem is not so much with the STs in the lower tier (at least not from my red member point of view). That issues is lesser because you all sit in the same seats so you know you will be with the same group.

I sit every where - more often than not in the upper tier. I go with a group of three or four and we like to sing. As I look around the upper tier you see and hear groups who are the same but we are all dispersed.

The families and tourists are a fact of life (and they pay for the sucess we enjoy) but if there were a way to identify the singing blocks (I doubt they will want to be there) and we can know we will be sitting with like minded people.

When the Red Action start a song it has finished by the time we (especially if around the away fans) hear it and get going. There are so few of us it dies. My point is if you had one or two (ideally three or four but lets get one or two first) singing blocks - Block 5 might start it, another block take it up as the first block dies down and so forth - you might even get a few more people joining in if you have prolonged song.

What I can't understand is we are not expecting to be allowed to stand like the red action section, we are not asking to be gauranteed seats at every game all we are saying is when a red member buys an upper tier ticket they know they are buying in an area that there will be like minded people. And those who don't want to sing and want to sit quietly know I am not going to scream in their ear the whole game....it can't be that hard for the club to agree a section and put a notice on those blocks????

If when buying tickets when you click on a block a note pops up saying 'THIS IS A BLOCK FOR THOSE WHO WISE TO BE VOCAL - PLEASE ONLY BOOK TICKETS IN THIS SECTION IF YOU WISH TO JOIN IN SUPPORTING THE TEAM' or somethin similar. It would mean those like minded people all konw where each other will be (I sit all over the stadium but would always go to the same block if I knew the atmosphere would be good). It may not work - but is sop simple must be worth a try?????

No that was excatly what I was saying and I agree with you. The club would have to do this but they don't.

As the club don't Red & Silvers ATM have taken matters in there own hands.

Not so sure judging by the atmosphere at Chavs games that its particularly working there, but I do take your point and we have raised this issue continually in fans forums and at our recent meeting with Mr Gazidis. To be honest due to the number of season tkt holders in the lower tier generally I can't see a sensible solution but all we can do is keep asking and maybe we can get some joy.

what was gazidis like?
does it look like he will be more reasonable to this kind of thing than the old guard on the board?
is there a site where i can read about this etc

The idea has been mentioned before but as said earlier the more we mention it the more likely it is to happen.

Hackney he came across very well, on first appraisal I think he is far more in tune with the silent majority of the supporters than his predecessor was. We have not really advertised our meeting as such as we are waiting to see if 'things' that were agreed start to happen. In that way we do not promise anything that then does not occur and also it gives us time to fully assess how we can work with Mr Gazidis in the future.

My gut feeling for what it is worth is that Mr Gazidis is going to be generally 'good news' for us the supporters.
