its not the fact that you would sell it to anyone Radford cannot understand why on the one hand people complain about the ticket allocation and then try and get tickets for a match that might not involve their team. what's that all about?Wayno wrote:I was going to sell mine at face value to BODJE had we not got there and the scousers didRadford149 wrote:this whole ballot thing is plain wrong. Rdaford is criticizing the playing of the game as we all believe that the allocation is wrong and complain about it. if we to get to the final i would have a ticket but i would begrudge any person who was non-Arsenal who had a ticket and wanted to feel the "experience".Chippy wrote:Of course UEFA are cnuts but why criticise a gooner for playing the game?
the ballot is wrong and playing the game whilst complaining about allocations at semi-finals and finals is wrong as well.

thats not the point Radford is trying to make. the point is that this ballot deprives in theory 10,000 (sorry if this figure is wrong) fans of the teams in the final a chance to be there.Wayno wrote:Chippt thats what I don't understand. If we get to the final I want to know that I have tried everything to get a ticket

Chippy agrees but you criticised other gooners for going into the ballot. Surely this is not wrong.Radford149 wrote:thats not the point Radford is trying to make. the point is that this ballot deprives in theory 10,000 (sorry if this figure is wrong) fans of the teams in the final a chance to be there.Wayno wrote:Chippt thats what I don't understand. Yes Radford critized the Arsenal fans that complain about ticket allocation and then use the ballot system.Chippy wrote:Chippy agrees but you criticised other gooners for going into the ballot. 1. Are you Radford, or he just a mate of yours?Radford149 wrote:Yes Radford critized the Arsenal fans that complain about ticket allocation and then use the ballot system.
2. The rules - as they stand - are that we know that:
- a portion of the tickets will be available by a ballot
- Arsenal will give priority based on away match credits
- If you are not a Gold member, don't have an away season ticket and don't work in the ticket office (

So.....I think its entirely fair and sensible that gooners think in advance of other routes to Rome. That means that many will have entered the ballot (I'm sure with plans to sell on at face value if we don't get there - unlike the good citizens of Paris a few years back who never had any intention of going to the game.....) and many (like me

Fair play to any gooners who were bright enough to get a ticket via the ballot (wrong as I agree the ballot is....). Just wish I'd tried it myself.....

Radford says "yea right mate" obtaining tickets for a final over a thousand miles away when your team has only a chance of getting to thus depriving the real fans of the teams that get there a chance of a ticket. thats the way to go.MK Gould wrote:1. outside in paris there were thousands of gooners longing to get inside whilst fucking uefa and guests lorded it up inside. *word censored*
the ballots a disgrace and so are uefa.
I was one of the thousands in Paris without a ticket. Had a brilliant time (probably my best "matchday" experiences ever - and without getting within site of the ground!) and would recommend going to Rome (if we get there....) even if you end up watching the game in a bar!Radford149 wrote:Radford says "yea right mate" obtaining tickets for a final over a thousand miles away when your team has only a chance of getting to thus depriving the real fans of the teams that get there a chance of a ticket. thats the way to go.

I absolutely agree that the ticket distribution is a disgrace. They need to make some money out of the Corporates, but why the neutrals....daft. Ok, so some of these will be fans of the teams still involved at that stage - but having been to the Germany v Czech Republic final of Euro 96 then I don't think there is any point in going if you don't support one of the teams.
BUT.....while they's the rules then I certainly don't blame anyone in "playing" them to their own advantage.....!
