Agreed! except we would still need cover on the bench, and bendtner would be the only one of the three that might be willing to play that role.
Vela and Eduardo would be the cover on the bench
Eduardo is going to have a bigger impact than just a bench warmer. give him the service and he'll score a shed load of goals for us.

agreed on the selling of RVP and maybe Ade but only for the right price

i'd sell him too, but the chances of getting over 20m are very slim at best. i rekon 15m and ship him to europe. i also think next season could be eduardos chance to shine. aside from arshavin, hes our only true clinical finisher, and has impressed me everytime i've seen him. as long as he can shake off the niggles that are a fall out of his leg break and string together a good run of games, i rekon he could be our goal machine next season.

A couple of good Carling Cup goals and all of a sudden he is the great white hope of Arsenal.

From what I have seen in Prem and CL games he hass looked like a little boy lost.
Bit harsh on him Percy. He has hardly had a chance this season, how many starts has he made in the prem and the CL? and he has to be a better option thad old pink boots.

I am not being harsh Donaldo I am just saying it is far too early to tell if he is going to have any real long lasting impact.

Agreed, he hasn't had all that much time on the pitch but when he has been on view he has been largely anonymous.

Time will tell though.

We have scored more goals in the league than Manure or the chavs, so personally, I wouldn't worry about selling RVP.

I am alot more interested in getting defensive personnel in the CB, and MF holding positions.

If any attacker needs shipping out, it should be Bendtner!

For the past few seasons we have seen a steady drip of senior players leave the club. I think we need a summer of stability. One or two shrewd additions and nowt goin out.... Except Nic..... and Ade..... ooh and that *word censored* Eboue

tbh I would happily sell RVP and see Arshavin in the hole behind the front man, from what I have seen off him he looks sheer class in everything he does.

After a summer beak and proper pre-season I am almost moist in anticipation of seeing him next season!!

I think he has had his best season since he joined us this year and until recently wasn't injured and was playing well

Do you think there is some sort of friction between Cesc and RVP is a battle of the Ego's Cesc gets injured for a long period - RVP stays injury free and plays virtually every game - now Cesc is back, RVP is injured again
RVP hasn't scored any freekicks except the penalties for us this season. Having said that, I would like to keep him for another season or so. We have so many players to get rid of ahead of RVP (e.g. DENILSON). SO keep him unless we can cash him in for 30M

There is not a club on the planet who would pay £30m for him.I would bite there hand off for £15m.What has he done to deserve a 5 year deal? This is his first season he hasnt had a long term injury.

I don’t see the problem here donaldo.

Were you not saying on the Flamini thread that we should have given him a new contract? And not just at the end of last season but the summer before that? Ie before he’d even had the season of his life?

If Flamini had done enough to earn a new contract in your eyes back then, I’m amazed at how RVP hasn’t done enough to earn one now!

If the right money came in of course by all means every player has their price but the transfer value of a player is intrinsically linked to how long he has left on his contract, surely! And if you are gonna tie a player to a new deal doesn’t it make more sense for it to be longer rather than shorter given the Webster clause?

Hmmm.... surprised by this, RVP has been one of our better players this season. He's gone off the boil in the last month or two admittedly, but what player hasn't had a bad spell?

This is (by far) his most productive season for avoiding injury - he's played 40 times! For reasons of comparison, Fabregas has played 27, Nasri 39, Bendtner 44 (surprisingly high!).... and Denilson, who unfortunately never seems to miss a game, has only played 6 times more than Van Persie.

40 games is completely normal! He's also scored 17 goals, as a second striker. He's currently our top goalscorer btw.

As for him being injury prone, he played 41 & 38 games in his first two seasons, then had two years with serious injury problems (31 & 23 games), but he's been pretty much fine all season.

Keep him, sack the moaning *word censored* we have as supporters :barscarf:
