As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Tuesday night’s UEFA Champions League Semi-Final Second Leg match against Manchester United is possibly the most important match ever to be played at Emirates Stadium.
With the encounter delicately poised, we urge all Arsenal supporters to arrive early at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, so that the stadium is completely full by kick-off.
We also urge all Arsenal supporters to wear red on the night and to make as much noise as possible to support the team throughout this huge evening.
To turn Emirates Stadium completely red and white, the Club has produced 60,000 specially designed flags for every Arsenal supporter to wave on the night. The flags will be on each seat in the stadium and we urge all supporters to help us create a fantastic atmosphere by waving their flags, especially when the teams come out at the start of the match.
The stadium will be open from 6.30pm on Tuesday night. So get to Emirates Stadium early to create a winning atmosphere in one of the biggest nights in Arsenal’s history.
i say watever they can do to create an atmosphere will help, but why not put red flairs in the seats instead of peices of paper, then we can throw them at them manc *word censored*
It's good to see a lot of people are in shitty moods still.
Just accept it. If you dont like the idea then don't fly/touch the fucking flag. just clap, sing and get the place rocking. just please dont fucking moan your arses off!
For once Arsenal have done the correct thing, we have been complaining they never do anything but fuck it, at least their giving it a go, no we are not gonna be anfield on a CL night but at least it will bring the ground to life, and will lift the players as well, so please stop moaning about how gay its going to look and get behind the team tonight! we need it tonight of all nights
Personally I think the flag gimmick is a load of ***** but it can still go one of two ways tonight.
If the fans are really up for it & make the place the cauldron it should be for a CL semi against the Mancs then the flags will be forgotten & nobody can mock us if the atmosphere truly is electric. If the opposite happens & the Grove is anything but rocking then the shiteness of the flag giveaway will stand out even more & we’ll get the same shit thrown at us that we throw at the Chavs.
So as shit as it is that we’re taking a leaf out of Kenyon’s book the same way having a flag on a seat isn’t gonna make the atmosphere it sure as f*ck isn’t gonna break it either. I’m positive everyone on here lucky enough to have a ticket will sing up, poxy flag or not. Let’s just hope the rest of the ground does the same.
On that note, I wonder what the United fans will think of our… um…err… United Colours of Arsenal flag?!

However, due to our excessive stewarding if anyone appears to even have a micro thought about picking up the flag the stewards will call upon the military Police and having you shot.
This will be done in the concourse to "Arsenal-ify" and add some much needed colour.
