As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Damage was done when he got on, don't blame him at all, I'd be fucked off too if someone as shit as Adebayor was keeping me out of the team.
He did more in half hour then some did in 90.
Did I say I was trying to use him as a scapegoat???
They all let us down last night, there no need to particularly single anyone out but to then see this the next day is to be quite frank, down right disrespectful. Not just to himself but to the fans and club!!!

I didn't mean you directly Doris, meant more the paper.
He is certanly not one that we can say let us down, had it been Van Persie, Adebayor or Fabregas then yeah but Bendtner or even Vela are not responsible for that performance last night.
Send Ade and Bendtner on their way to another club. Ineffective here. Bring in more players who are hungry to play for Arsenal, like Arshavin. There's a model of professionalism and attitude. We need more like him and less who are one-trick-ponies the opposition have all figured out.

Why stop there?
The players that feel the club needs to match their ambition or those that crave medals need to go because none of them back it up on the pitch.
They have all played a part in some way or another in not playing well enough, but to see one of our players come out of a nightclub with his trousers round his ankles is not good.
Would have been slightly better for him if just a bit drunk in so far as he could defend by saying that he was drowning his sorrows but why on earth are his trousers down and it certainly seems that he was so intoxicated that he couldn't even pull them up!!!!

don't talk shit.
He talked about not being pleased when the Gallas picture surfaced, I'm sure he told Gallas that too.
How the hell is he expected to do something about Bendtner getting pissed last night. Should he hold his hand after the game and make sure he doesn't go out? I'm sure there will be told off or fined, internally.
Have you ever heard the club releasing details about fines? Nope. It's dealt with internally, as it should be.
Its not shit look at the man u players after WINNING they went back to the team hotel and acted in a professional mannor. It seems to me that Wenger is not hard enough on them. When man u finish the season there players seem to do what Bendtner did last night BUT its at the end of the season when the players are on holiday.

Disagree as you're just clutching at straws now, we may aswell start slagging Denilson off by that logic as he was poor at the start of the season (although he didn't even play yesterday)
Bendtner has turned it around for me, he may not have the softness of foot yet but he has worked hard and given his all to see a steaming pile of turd play in his place even when he's extra shit.
By the time he got on the pitch the game was lost, he can't be blamed for that, it would drive me to drink too.
Like I say, if it was Fabregas, Van Persie or Adebayor then I would be fuming, these are the players who have let the club down, they all talk the talk and demand stuff yet gave very little back in return.
augie wrote:Harareud, I agree mostly with what you are saying but do you agree that the very fact that our players keep behaving like tossers off the pitch suggests a lack of respect for wenger/the club ?
those 2 incedents hardly contitute as our players "keeping behaving like tossers".
I would think that getting pissed after a game like last night is relatively harmless. Don't you think that he was gutted too with what happened?
Better to get pissed at home or not at all, but he's 21 years old and a mistake like that every now and then is not the end of the world.
There's plenty of stories of Man Utd players partying etc, never heard anyone complain about that. Including Ferguson.
Irish Gooner wrote:Utd players aren't proffesional. Ronaldo,Nani and Anderson were caught sleeping with hookers a while back. Ferdinand was doing drugs.
Doing it off season and ferdinand was not doing drugs he just missed 1 drugs test.

Have you read what I have said....the lack of respect that Bendtner is showing OFF the pitch is what is irking me as it proves that if they have no respect off the pitch then he certainly isn't going to show it on it is he!!
I said that I think to a degree all the players have to look at their performance, I have not singled out Bendtner once for last nights performance ON the pitch but think that he can be singled out for this performance OFF the pitch!!
