If offered 30 million would you sell cesc ?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

How quickly people forget and how quick we are to turn on our own.

Why the hell should any player or manager show loyalty with fans like you around.

I can't believe your post is a summary of Cesc Fabregas. Beggars belief.

You have to also consider that selling Cesc would confirm our status as a selling club, especially in Europe where we're seen as a less illustrious club & where he’s seen even more as the talismanic figure. Which would make it even more difficult to attract top-quality players to come to us.

for me bar the milan game cesc has shown a complete inability to stand up and be counted in ANY of our recent big games or whenever we have needed him

for too long has the captiancys armband been used as a ploy to guilt players into staying

its quite frankly pathetic

G88ner, Irish's post is refering to Denilson not Cesc. :)

some people play too much football manager. sell him for 30m? even 50m? and then do what exactly? realise that a) we'd find it hard to attract someone better to fill the gap b) the key is to hold on to players like cesc and build around him c) we can't afford to become a selling club. we better hold onto our top players or else. :banghead:

Two reason's for that - He's not had a pre-season and rest from the Euro's and broke down injured. Since coming back still not the same.

Also you can only be as good as the shit around you.

I actually believe (I'll say it again) the fualt lies with playing both Ade and RVP. both players drop deep at times and there for no-one for Cesc to play a Killer pass too.

You cannot underestimate what a huge factor that is or should be in any decision on this matter. I have said all season that cesc will be gone in the summer anyway but if, and that is a big if, he decides to stick around then we should show him the loyalty he has shown us cos imo he is a quality player and has earned that loyalty.

However I have to say that lately he is playing like a man who has his heart already gone elsewhere :( If that is down to a longing to return home to spain or born out of frustration at the team being built around him I dont know but if he is to depart, and considering what greedybollox was worth last summer, then £30m wouldnt do it for me. I agree 100% that he has slowed down our attacks big time since he came into the team simply cos he aint got the pace but personally I would only sell him this summer if he wants to go

I don't understand why everyone or most of ppl here believe that Csec will leave this summer?! :banghead: :banghead: FFS, he has said that he wants to stay here so many times. Could you guys trust him a bit? I bet you that he will stay here with us at least for another season :barscarf:

we have been missing the real cesc since the start of 2008,he was badly out of form for the second half of last season but pulled through simply because of how well he and flamini worked together

now we are left with medicore players next to him or wenger putting him up fucking front
