We would if we sold him within a year....PI7ES wrote:This has been a problem for years at arsenal, wenger's policy of letting players go if they want to.Number 5 wrote: Either that or the management need to man up and when a player starts talking up a move tell him he's going fucking no-where.
They signed a long contract fucking make them honour it, and its bullshit saying they wont try as hard. Look at ronaldo at yanited, they stopped him moving to madrid and he still performs week in week out.
Arsenal have a feeder club mentality, buy them young and cheap sell them older and for a profit. For us to ever be a massive club this has to change.
The signing of arshavin shows signs of this as we wont get a profit on him but this has to continue!!!
The hatred of Gallas!!

i think we have missed gallas big time i hope he staysPI7ES wrote:Leading the defense and leadiing the whole team is a huge difference. Gallas is one of the best CB's in the premiership and can naturaly lead the back four with his talent and experience.
Surely you would want the best player playing not the player who loves arsenal the most. Because im sure emmanuel eboue loves arsenal probably much more than certian players do that get much more playing time than him??
If there is a choice between gallas and toure for one spot, it has to be gallas everytime!!

Gallas' antics at birmingham last season were instrumental in the loss of form that followed in subsequent weeks.
His off the pitch comments this season had a similar disruptive influence, he is bad news and I hope he goes in the summer, despite some good performances since being stripped of the captaincy.

I'm agreeing with Calo on this one.Calo wrote:in my books gallas is a hero
didnt nothing wrong
he could see the wrong attitude tried to do something about it wenger didnt back him so he went public
at least we got the then find out
disgusting way we treated him
wenger cock up
Everything he came out with mid-season was just what we were all saying on here. It's all well and good people saying that he shouldn't have gone public, but does anyone seriously think that the team didn't try to sort it out privately? As captain, I think Willy felt he could deliver a kick up ass (that was quite necessary) that wasn't getting through any other way.
Wenger generally backs his players in public, so I was surprised he didn't do it this time around. I said at the time that it was all kicking off that I felt Big Willy was being made a scapegoat for the club's ills.
People are quick to point out the Birminghamgate scandal whenever Gallas is mentioned. What people often forget is that 18 months ago when we were flying high, the general consensus was that Will was doing a fantastic job

Have said before that gallas's performances have improved immensely since losing the captaincy but he was an absolute shocking captain and I will not back him for his role in any of our problems. Previous captains like TA6 earned the right to bollock their team-mates and led from the front on the pitch where as gallas gallas has appeared to be more self serving than anything else

Why would any Arsenal supporter hate one of his own players ? Can you actually detest one of your own ? I would rather than Bobby Pires hadn't dived around so much, but could you hate him in the same way as you might about Drogba ?
Let's beat the opposition rather than ourselves.
