They signed a long contract fucking make them honour it, and its bullshit saying they wont try as hard. Look at ronaldo at yanited, they stopped him moving to madrid and he still performs week in week out.

Gallas' antics at birmingham last season were instrumental in the loss of form that followed in subsequent weeks.
His off the pitch comments this season had a similar disruptive influence, he is bad news and I hope he goes in the summer, despite some good performances since being stripped of the captaincy.

Everything he came out with mid-season was just what we were all saying on here. It's all well and good people saying that he shouldn't have gone public, but does anyone seriously think that the team didn't try to sort it out privately? As captain, I think Willy felt he could deliver a kick up ass (that was quite necessary) that wasn't getting through any other way.
Wenger generally backs his players in public, so I was surprised he didn't do it this time around. I said at the time that it was all kicking off that I felt Big Willy was being made a scapegoat for the club's ills.
People are quick to point out the Birminghamgate scandal whenever Gallas is mentioned. What people often forget is that 18 months ago when we were flying high, the general consensus was that Will was doing a fantastic job

Have said before that gallas's performances have improved immensely since losing the captaincy but he was an absolute shocking captain and I will not back him for his role in any of our problems. Previous captains like TA6 earned the right to bollock their team-mates and led from the front on the pitch where as gallas gallas has appeared to be more self serving than anything else
