Mbia unsure of future

Stephane Mbia has admitted he is likely to leave Rennes this summer after being linked with a number of English clubs.

The Cameroonian midfielder was heavily connected with a move to Everton before the start of the season but Rennes managed to keep hold of him.

He agreed a new deal with the French club on the condition that he would be allowed to embark on a fresh challenge at the end of the campaign.

Newcastle, Blackburn and newly promoted Birmingham are now all interested in securing his services, according to reports in the French press.

Arsenal are also understood to be monitoring his situation as Arsene Wenger looks to add more steel to his midfield.

Mbia told skysports.com: "I had an agreement to leave at the end of the season if all parties are happy, so I can't say yet what will happen.

"There are many good clubs linked according to the press so let's wait and see. The season is almost finished."

Reports suggest Mbia's preference would be to stay in France with Marseille, while he would not want to join a big club such as Arsenal or Bayern Munich at this stage of his career.

Josue Linked With Arsenal Move

Wolsburg captain Josue is the latest player to be linked with a move to Arsenal.

The Gunners are in their fourth year without a trophy and many have blamed Arsene Wenger's unwavering faith in youth as the reason.

ARSENE WENGER It is thought he is looking to add some experience to his side in the summer and 29-year-old Josue would provide that.

He is a defensive midfielder and signed for Wolfsburg in 2007.

Before that he appeared for Sao Paolo in his native Brazil, winning the Brazilian League, Copa Libertadores and Club World Cup in his two years.

He started his career at Goias and has also represented the Brazil national team on a number of occasions.

This thread’s gone downhill. In fact I’d go as far as to say this thread is gay.

i thought someone would pick on that comment, i regretted it the moment i clicked post :D

another rumour:
Of the more recognised and proven strikers out there, Arsenal have made an enquiry regarding Diego Forlan who is enjoying a fantastic season at Atletico Madrid – and they have been told he could be up for sale if the Spanish side fails to qualify for the Champions League.

Regarding David Villa, the player who we get asked more questions about than any other: Yes, like everyone else, Arsene Wenger is also a fan. But, contrary to what you may have heard - Arsenal have not been in contact with either Valencia or the player’s agent.

rumours flying around that Shitty want Kolo for 12.5 million.

If that's actually true and we can also get 24 million for Adebayor we'd actually have quite a bit of money available this summer despite having a small transfer budget.

Chiellini would be perfect.
But I don´t think Juve ever would sell him.

Vermaelen would be nice as well.

it seems definate we only have 13m to spend this summer.

sell:
adebayor 24m

buy:
chiellini 16m

then we have 21m remaining, how would you spend it?

i would try to buy a defensive midfielder and a striker if possible, not sure if this could be done though, maybe look for a loan like we did with baptista

who´s gonna pay 21m for Greedyasshole?

is Juventus that stupid? sell their best man Chiellini?

In fact, I think AFC right now is not in the position to get a player like Chiellini. He might prefer other clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, maybe even Bayern.
