ADE HAS NOT HAD A MEDICAL YET!!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Agreed but we do not have anything on our side with regards to that *word censored* as we gave up our bargaining chip when we failed to sell him last summer.

There is only one serious bidder at the price mentioned as the tossers stock has fallen in the footballing world.

Thye business will get done but it is nobodys fault but our own that we didnt sell the mercenary fucker when he had his maximum sale potential. City are in a strong position and can afford to put the squeeze on now as they have no direct competition at present.

Even if we got £25m ithere are no gurantee's he would spend it!

Adebayor is obviously holding out for a 'bigger' club ie : European Football, and is obviously aware that he isnt a fans favourite at Arsenal anymore, thus probably wants to move on - but upwards, which City do not currently offer (in footballing terms anyway).

If the deal falls through and he is with us come Everton away, then il get behind him like anyone else in an Arsenal shirt - but I think its best for everyone he moves on.

That is what I thought Flash! I see this article as probaly as speculative as any Sky Sports reporting on the subject.

DB10GOONER wrote:The most interesting bit of that article for me is the following;

"Ferguson had talked of "stupid" fees and argued that none of the big transfer deals this summer represented "value" for the buying clubs, but Hughes regards Tevez's signing for £25.5m as a "bargain" compared to the £80m that Manchester United received from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo and he highlighted the £17m signing of Santa Cruz from Blackburn Rovers. "We were quoted £25m in January and we have got him for significantly less so I would suggest that's good business," he said.

It was put to Hughes that it was "hypocritical" of Ferguson to make such comments given the frequency with which United have broken transfer records over the years and he nodded in agreement. "That's a good word," he said."

Just proves how hypocritical Fergusmoan really is, doesn't it? Ooh, now there is another big boy in the schoolyard, he can't financially bully his way unchallenged anymore... suddenly it's bad for the game... what a prize crunt.

Greedywhore is such a lying cuntbag. He's "concerned over public opinion" my arse... he's grandstanding, the fucking arsehole.
Spot on, 32M for Berbatov from 25M is not inflating the market and paying silly prices???

Fergie knows what he is doing, sets high prices so only he and Chelsea can compete, now Madrid and City have raised the bar he doesn't like it.

On to Ade, I really hope he doesn't start developing a concience now, what on earth does he think people think of him now?

If he pulls out of this I think he will be even more hated as he wouldn't be staying to prove himself to us, he'll be staying to not look bad in Togo.

Let's see what happens. But if he wants to stay rather than earn twice the money at Shitty we have to respect that decision and I think it would then also be time to reassess the "greedy" claims.
Does Wenger want him to stay?I dont believe he does

As the old saying goes, "you only reap what you sow" - all season long the *word censored* fcuked about putting in minimal effort and talking absolute shit to the media which showed him up as the mercenary *word censored* that he is and then he wonders why no proper big club comes in for him ? This *word censored* should not be allowed to fcuk us about anymore

What a steaming pile of bullshit , why doesn't the *word censored* donate a portion of his wage increase to charity in Togo if he is worried about public perception of him . 30k to 50k pounds a week could make a major difference in his homeland .

Good idea, fax the idea to his agent before City get pissed off and sack it off.

Don't think he does. In a very un-wenger like comment he sort of said it.

That's a very good point.

And if he's waiting for Milan and reckons they'd pay him even 75% of what City are crazy enough to offer, he's bonkers.

No other Club on planet earth would offer close to that.

I am astonished City would offer hime that much. Apart from twinkle toes at Madrid he is the World's highest paid player

The gross wage figure is not the only factor though.

When you consider that the higher level of tax in Italy is 12.5% and 50% in Britian it changes the picture with regards to salaries drastically.

I'm sure he doesn't and neither do I.

He does have a contract though and we can't make him move to a club he doesn't want to join.
