WHAT DO YE DO

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I work in I.T. A Network and Systems Administrator. I'm running around worrying and trying to solve problems all day. (prob accounts for my pessimistic mood re. the Gunners lately). Do all my work on a laptop so its easy for me to take ten minutes every now and then to 'disappear' somewhere and check the posts.

That reminds me, I must ask my Guvnor for a nice new shiny, high spec computer to stop those damned double posts!

I actually work for Arsenal, I teach a lot of the players on the following

Hleb - what clothes a student should wear.

Eboue - How to look injured until the ball comes near you

Lehmann - how to attract top players to stand on your toes

Senderos - air kicks and how to apply them

Henry - how to look moody and shrug your shoulders (course complete)

Reyes - How not to learn any English

Adebayor - How to become a Kanu lookalike

Cole - the best phones for your arse (course abandoned)

Gilberto - how to look like you might cry and hence not get booked as much out of pity

Lupoli - life without a neck (course complete)

Eduardo - controlling your blinking (new course)

Theo - eagle eyed action man hair for teenagers

Actually, I work in telecoms putting up lovely mobile phone masts!

I like to mix being a dirty, filthy tax dodger with being an international celebrity.

I'm Civil Servant now. Work recruiting senior managers and professionals for the Health Service Executive in Ireland, Crime Analysts for the cops, and Economists for think tanks. We are totally left up to our own initiative which is cool, and even though I'm snowed under at work, I always find a couple of ten minute spells in the day to post and read posts 8) .

I originally worked in a family construction firm for 17 years (the last 8 as a contracts and site manager). We did structural steel and firestopping, mostly in Dublin airport. Changed career in 2005 because I was sick of construction (saw a few guys killed too - before we sorted out health & safety in this country), have a wife and two kids (aged 2 & 3) 8) so I wanted the pension and job security of the Civil service for them as much as a change of job.

Best decision I ever made; love the job, great people, and good career prospects. Should have done it five years earlier. :)

Best I have a quiet word with him!

Must be a few stories Mr Rebel Senior can tell us!

Your not alone mate!

The Doris had a look on here today to see what I had been rabbiting on about!

She then rang me at work to ask why I was telling Lisa Gooner I loved her!
