I'm not mate, I've just seen it and he did dive... but let's face it, I don't think it was going to make any difference in the overall result...123456arsenal wrote:You guys are going to tear me for this but Eduardo did dive. A guy as good as Eduardo knew he was running out of pitch and yeah Boruc was nowhere near him. Sorry guys but it was a dive.

well thats put me off my coffee
back on the topic of ed
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVthv1RqHqo
from the bbc at the time
As it turned out, the one they were given looked very soft indeed, not that Liverpool will feel an injustice was done given the earlier decisions.
.........
But then Gerrard went down under a challenge from Pernia and the Liverpol skipper stepped up himself to dispatch the resultant penalty and salvage a draw.
and yet for ed
Eduardo was the central figure when Arsenal did score after 28 minutes - and he was very much the villain in the eyes of Celtic's travelling fans when he tumbled theatrically as he went around Boruc in the area.
anti arsenal bias.
love it

Well, the point is we should not encourage this behavior...I think we lost our unbeaten run because of the diver Rooney...people could say did the penalty win the game. I would say so, though we lost 2-0 in that game.pixie wrote:Not worth discussing whether he dived or not.....Did the goal win the game? No. Did it make a difference to the result? No. So why the fuss?

Anyway I love Eduardo so much still, as said above

It was a dive, but they did go about it far too much.
However, I did enjoy the tension in the studio as Daglish started going on a crazy rant about foreigners, everyone was clearly worried there might be an "Atkinson" comment. Nearly as stupid as Strachan's comments on Sky in the first leg about water pistols and machine guns

All I would say is that goals change games and Celtic started quite brightly and at least had me thinking they might nick the first goal. The the dive, pen and goal and its tie over. Although I always felt we would have enough I would have been mighty pissed off to have been on the other end of it.
