Yep, possibility for ET & pens if level after 90 mins;
13.4 In the event of the scores being level at the end of ninety minutes' play in Rounds One, Two, Three, Four and Five an extra half-hour shall be played. If the tie is still undecided after extra time, the winners shall be determined by the taking of kicks from the penalty mark in accordance with the Laws of Association Football.

I hope either Frimpong or Coquelin will get a run out.

don't they go straight into extra-time then pens if nil- nil....?

I'm wondering if AW will even include Wilshire (aka: Magic Jack) and Rambo...be good to see how Randall is doing...Now he DOES have the makings of a good Holding Mid-field player

Vela still injured isn't he (ankle) ? the lad's 'Class' one of the most natural finishers in the squad... 8)

COME ON YOU YOUNG GUNNERS! :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

[quote="Arsene Wenger"]Polish keeper Wojciech Szczesny is set for his debut and Carlos Vela will play his first game of the season after an ankle injury.

There will be significant experience at centre back, where Philippe Senderos is expected to play his first game for the Gunners since May 2008, but otherwise Arsenal will be young once more.

“You will see Wojciech Szczesny, Ramsey, Gibbs, Wilshere and certainly Vela,â€

Will be a tough match but this is the same bunch of youngsters that have beaten Premiership opposition before so while I am cautious, I am still confident we can do it 8)

Might be something like this?

Szczęsny
Gilbert-Silvestere-Senderos (c)-Traore
Ramsey-Randall*-Gibbs
Wilshire-Bendtner-Vela

*Would prefer Coquelin myself

I expect us to give a good account of ourselves but lost, we have a 4th choice keeper, Silvestere in the team and perhaps Gilbert at rightback, WBA will be annoyed with themselves if they lose

We are always being told how 'great' Wenger's young players are - etc. etc. etc..... so now's the chance to prove it.

It won't say much for Arsenal's "cashlesss future" if we make a feeble exit - will it ??????

Yeah, it would be the worst thing in the world if a bunch of 19 year olds (several of our good ones on loan as well) lost to a championship topping team who just thrashed Boro 5-0

The Carling Cup exit won't mean they suck, making it will depend on their development. What will concern me is the performance of our depth players like our cb's
