London in the morning

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Welcome Inverness. Is it your first time in London? If you want to save a few bob and get a view of London...

I assume you are arriving at Victoria Coach Station. Walk along Buckingham Palace Road to, guess where, Buckingham Palace, walk along the Mall and St James's Park, across Horseguards Parade and the back of Downing St and the Treasury to Parliament Square.

Stop at Westminster Abbey to see loads of famous graves and pray for a 6-0 win. Come out and stick two fingers up at the Palace of Westminster aka the Houses of Parliament. Walk along Whitehall, past the Cenotaph and the main entrance to Downing St to Trafalgar square. Go up Charing Cross Road and turn left into Leicester Square, cross it and out the other side to Piccadilly Circus.

That should take about an hour if you stroll. You can get the Piccadilly line then straight to Arsenal or Finsbury Park.

If you want more sightseeing, walk up Shaftesbury Avenue and turn left and just wander around Soho, eventually cross Regents St (via Carnaby St?) and walk through Mayfair to Bond Street to see where the players spend all our hard earned cash. Then along Oxford Street to Oxford Circus and get the Victoria Line to Finsbury Park or Highbury and Islington.

An alternative would be instead of turning left into Leicester Square, you turn right towards Covent Garden. Piccadilly Line to Arsenal or Finsbury Park.

However if all you want is a boozer open at 7 on a Sunday morning I can't help you there mate.  :D
